So complete! 😍 I’m not a beginner but totally will recommend this for beginners, intermediated and pros! So many techniques, tips and tricks! Easy to understand and to put into work, I’m still working and learning from it but did a project and I’m so satisfied with everything new I learnt! Looking forward to finish all the other projects.

I have a gazillion watercolor books. The amount of money spent is insane. Some seem like they’ll be “just perfect” only to find themselves on the bookshelf with all the others. This one? WOHOOO!!! Literally, I know where it is at all times! I’ve even highlighted, written notes on AND done my own art in the book (not even designed for it—it just oozes beauty and relevant bright and brilliant colors and tips). Can’t help myself. I rarely write reviews. This one? No way I’m passing up a chance to help others know what a gem this is.

I work with all kinds of art mediums from watercolors, acrylic, mosaic, etc. I love creating real beauty and crave the best of the best insight. I LOVE brilliant and bright colors. This book has become so essential in my growing as an artist that I have ACTUALLY painted neutrals and followed every bit of her advice.

Some read from front to back. I go all over the place. I only skim pages of books and look at what draws me in and rarely read a complete book. This one is A-MAZING!!!!!!!! She’s managed to pen to page just what this soul needed to feel safe and vulnerable and dive in head first.

I have many of the latest books on watercolor geared toward the beginner painter. However, many of these books don't seem to hold my interest. But, this book "Hello Watercolor" Is keeping me busy.
I'm finding the projects in this book to be doable and interesting. The subject matters vary greatly. For example going from botanical to whimsical and cute creatues.
The book is not at all intimadating and I look foward to the tutorials which are easy to follow.
The only section of this book that turned me off is the small section on brush lettering. I have no desire to learn it at this time so it feels like a waste of a chapter to me.
I definately recommend this book if your looking for a book on learning watercolor.

I am a beginner when it comes to watercolor and found this book very informative and easy to follow. I sometimes watch youtube videos to try and learn more but lots of times they don't go step by step which makes it harder for someone that is just starting out.. This book covers everything a beginner needs to know and more!

This book is beautiful and as it states, it is for someone just starting out in watercolor painting. It has a little bit of everything in it such as creating designs, lettering, color recipes, color theory, creating textures, and a little about connecting with others on in the art community. It's basic information which is perfect for the beginner. I will refer to it as a refresher, as a reminder of the different techniques I can use but if you an advanced watercolor artist this may not be the book for you.
