Super thick cords. Not happy

I had several sets of curtain lights and I loved them. Assuming these were the same, I purchased. Instead of a delicate copper wire with fairy lights, it’s a very thick silver plastic cord. So the lights cannot look delicate and pretty. They must be placed behind a curtain if you want to hide the cord.

I put this up in my living room window behind the sheer curtains. I thought it would add some sparkle for Christmas. However the effect was amazing. During the day you can’t see the lights. At night when you turn them on, and it is dark outside the windows reflect the lights and the whole window becomes a sparkling delight. I ordered warm white so it is very welcoming. I like the effect so much I’m not going to take it down and leave it up all year. My only challenge was that my window is 9 feet long and it only comes in 6 foot lengths.

Okay, so here’s why I gave it 3 stars — the picture is incredibly misleading! You’d have to buy about 4-5 of them to achieve that visual on a standard window, which is why I gave it 1 star for thickness. Also not a fan of the thick plastic unsightly hooks, which btw, should be clips because they’re pretty ineffective.
Here’s what I do like — they are pretty and create ambiance. There’s about 10 settings for how they can twinkle. There’s a remote control (which is nice, however, doesn’t work great) I also like that they can be controlled at the outlet in case the control is lost. Unfortunately I didn’t have the foresight to video in the dark, but if you look closely you can see just how spread out they are. (I also have them wound up about 2-3 feet because of cats.)
