I've read the other reviews and felt I needed to stand up for my fav jacket right now. It may be because the length of my arm is no more than 25 inches but this jacket is perfect. Not too tight or loose. The one button in front rocks when I just want to quick close and open. The drape of the jacket is flattering. I'm short and curvy and it's always a challenge finding flattering clothes. This was perfect. So if your arms aren't super long and you want a smart but affordable jacket I say go for it!

This jacket is somewhere between a windbreaker and a short trench. The fabric is very lightweight, so it's not as structured as a trench. I sized up to accommodate for heavier clothes, but that's not necessary. It fits true to size, and is even a little roomy. I wish the belt was affixed to the jacket. It isn't, and it slides out. Nothing a stitch or two won't fix, but just be aware. The jacket is very nice, but just a little more casual looking than a traditional trench coat.

Ok, so I'm petite (5'2') and the arms are this are short even on me! I think I can make this work by rolling up the sleeves, since I really like this coat. It is very light weight. So if you're short or don't mind rolling up the sleeves, this trench is perfect.

I bought in size 16 Navy and like it very much for wearing out for dinner and when it's not too cold outdoors. I will use it as a short trench with jeans and a tunic.
