This sweater is VERY short, with narrow arms. I'm not particularly tall (~ 5'5" with a short torso) and it's like a belly shirt on me! I thought for sure ordering a 2XL would leave me with a nice, comfy, large sweater.... Instead I received a very short sweater fits roughly like an XL, at most. It's definitely not the 27.5" that the add claims - it's closer to 24" (measuring from the tallest point possible).
I ordered these by 2 or 3 x's my usual size (because of other reviews stating size issues) & the body fit but the arms are way too small around in proportion to the rest of the top - just ridiculous. Total waste of my money especially when I had ordered 2 of these tops - will not order again!
This Just My Size 5X size is the same as a 3X Fruit Of The Loom sweatshirt. I laid one shirt on top of the other to check because the 5X fits me ok (I wanted loose), but the JMS lower arms are incredibly narrow and tight. Totally out of proportion with the rest of the shirt. I don't have huge arms, but the lower arms on this shirt fit so snugly I can't even roll up the sleeves. Am thinking of just cutting off the sleeves at the elbow. Very strange proportions for this shirt, and also for the JMS leggings I bought recently (short, tight legs but unusually long upper part). The seams on both are also thick, bulky, itchy. I'm very unimpressed with JMS products.
This sweatshirt is warm and comfortable. As noted in other reviews it sizes much larger than you would expect; probably 3 sizes larger. That said, it is easy to layer TShirts underneath and it's nice that it doesn't have a turtleneck that rides up. It washes well in that it hasn't faded at all after about 15 washings, and it doesn't shrink. The cuffs on the sleeves maintain their shape and elasticity. Another nice thing about it is that there are no cloth tags anywhere on it; instead there is a stamp at the back of the neck that again has not faded, and it's nice not to have to cut off a tag to prevent chafing, etc. All in all, I intend to order another but next time will order a couple of sizes smaller.
I'm not happy with it... I was hoping it would have been softer and comfier. There are better products out there worth paying for even if a little more. I don't have a flattering body shape and I feel this has made me look even more like a bag of potatoes (There are shirts that actually fit in a more flattering way, I'm not just in denial, expecting this top to make a miracle, just I guess it doesn't look well on people that aren't curvy in the right places). I kept it anyway because I found it rather cheap to go through all the trouble of sending it back. Will I wear it? Yeah maybe with some baggy pants on days I don't care about how I look.
The sweatshirt material is soft and comfortable against the skin. The length goes to the hips. I have long arms so I was pleased that the sleeves came down to my wrists. However, the sleeves are very narrow and there is NO WAY I could ever push them up, not even a few inches. I had ordered a size larger than needed. Even with that, the sleeves are tight.
I sized up in this sweater as I like them to be a bit baggier for lounging. The body of the sweater fit well and isn't as short on me as other reviews have mentioned (I'm 5'5"), but the sleeves are on the tighter side. I'm definitely glad I sized up as I'm not certain the sleeves would have fit otherwise. I'm thinking they'll likely stretch out over time though.
I didn’t have high expectations for this sweater. I bought it a couple sizes up just for a comfy lounging around sweater but I don’t even wear it for that. It is SO boxy it looks ridiculous and it’s not nearly long enough despite having ordered it two sizes up.
