I know that a lot of people try these bras and say they are rubbish and do not support the bust. I am VERY big and have arthritis so trying to do the fastenings on a normal bra is a nightmare and the 'normal' bras dig into my shoulders and hurt my back. I switched to this type of bra about 5 years ago and am sticking to them. They will never offer the firm control of some of the 'normal' bras but I wear two at a time and find them comfortable and stop my bust from moving too much and do not dig in or hurt me. Each to their own.
Although these seem to be well made and comfortable, something seems off on the sizing I had to try several different sizes before I found the right one for me. This meant ordering and returning several times but worth the effort because they are really comfortable once you get the right size. I normally take a 2x but ended up with 5x with this brand, that's a significant difference. I would hope they look into this. However amazon was awesome with the turnaround time in regards to my many returns and reorders and credited my acct. very fast. Koodos !! to Amazon for such good service.
I bought a bunch of these bras after I broke some ribs and was unable to lift my arms enough to wear a bra with closures. The JMS Pure Comfort bras do not provide enough support for running or any vigorous exercise, but they do provide enough support for daily activities. You can step into them, as I had to until my ribs healed, or pull them over your head. The wide band on the bottom is pretty good at staying put and not rolling up, and the shoulder straps are wide enough to be comfortable all day. I like the things so much that now I only wear an underwire bra if I'm wearing a dress or top that deserves a... how shall we say... perkier silhouette. One downside is that the bra will show if you wear anything low-cut in either the front or the back. Another downside - it doesn't come in red. Also, for what it's worth, I find that the ones with a diamond pattern/weave seem to have slightly better support.
I like this bra. It is comforable even though it needs to stretch. It does not leave marks behind. It actually does have good support that I can feel because there is less stain on my back.
I bought it a size up, but I have ordered again another size up. There is a bit of a run in the middle after only just receiving it in the middle of October. It is still fine to wear, but I advise that if you have large breasts to go up about two sizes. I will still wear the one I have, but a larger size will help the bra ro last longer. The price is good and I really like it.
While this particular item was not in its original package and looked like it had been worn (or tried on) - I will launder and use it as it looks good as new and THESE BRAS are THE BEST EVER. I am throwing out all others as they just take up room when I only dig for these. AND WHY I just ordered seven more.
I was disappointed that the picture shows a beautiful diamond pattern on deep purple, but it arrived as a dull deep mauve (as did two others I ordered in 'private jet'), but I am keeping them rather than go through the hassle of return as only I see them.
I ordered this in a 2X based on reviews and sizing chart, plus it's my regular size. It fit's small. The band was pretty snug around my ribs and immediately rolled up. It also flattened my chest quite a bit. Hopefully a larger size will be better as I need a bra like this but have a lot of rib pain so the band can't be too tight as it's impossible to wear a bra if it is. Quality seems good and it's a nice soft fabric.
I ordered a 5x just to be sure. That way I could wear it nice and loose. I usually wear a 2x but because my kangaroo pouch never went back to normal after pushing out babies, I like long and loose tops. So I am always ordering one or two sizes larger and with the people (seamstresses/tailors)who seem to think we are all tiny and skinny as rails, I have to bump up a size or two. So that being said, I did like the fit although the sleeves were a little too long but that was to be expected with a 5x. The material is nice and light and doesn't scratch my skin and felt soft enough that once I wash it, it will be perfect. I've got Fibromyalgia and my skin is super sensitive. So at least one size up from your normal one would be what I'd suggest.
I am happy with this bra. I would only wear it in the house as that is why I purchased it. If you are large breasted do not expect this bra to keep your gals high and mighty because this bra does not. As a comfort bra this rates high. It looks small out of the package but has lots of stretch. I recommend it only as a house bra.
Very happy. When I pulled it out of the package I said " ohno its tinyyyy". But when i put it on a realize it's so stretchy and comfortable. I did buy one size too big. I got a 3xl. I am a 38E. It could be tighter. I just finished breastfeeding so I wish it was tighter to pull me up a bit more. The size chart says i should be about a 2xl and i got nervous and got a size too big. Even with the size I have it is amazingly comfortable. I wont be able to wear out of the house becuase it didnt pick up the girls enough. I got the grey becuase it looks to have good stretch. Happy!!
