Decent Headlamp for the $$

Very comfortable to wear and stays in place. Light selection is varied enough to suit most everyone. User Interface (UI) is OK once you get to know it. Brightness is more than acceptable on high. Run time is not the best and the lengthy recharging can ONLY be done via USB port which requires you to separate the left side of the light from the rest by pressing in on a not-so-well defined indentation and pulling. This then reveals the charging stem that is inserted into a USB port. This already seems to be wearing as it now requires more effort to separate. When plugged into my laptop's USB port, it protrudes in an awkward fashion such that one must be very careful not to stress it by bumping, etc. The laptop must be positioned to allow the charging light to dangle off the side of a table or shelf as it protrudes below the bottom surface of the computer. Not really usable with gloved hands. Most negative for me is the fixed position of the light head....some type of tilt/angle adjustment would be welcome.

After trying to set up this headlamp, knowing I'm not the sharpest tool in the shed, I read and re-read the instructions. I still cannot get the light to turn on.

Besides not being able to use the headlamp for its intended purpose (as a headlamp), adjusting the size of the headlight is cumbersome, like very cumbersome. I was able to get a decent fit after lots of notch changes, which got me to my final conclusion—this thing is extremely uncomfortable! I am bald, so jokes on me, but I can't even wear this thing to look cool.

Maybe, for those with gorgeous lion-like manes who are smart enough to be capable of turning the light on, you'll have a headlamp. Although it is so uncomfortable, and turning the light on seems to be so tricky, I doubt you'll say it's a good headlamp—but you might look cool. I'll leave that to you to decide.

I am a Knog lover. Writing this review is not what I'd like to be doing right now. I'd like to be a bright light running in the night.

Got in on the ground with the Kickstarter for this headlamp; liked it enough to come back for a second. Absolutely LOVE the charging functionality. Great design. Lights are SUPER bright; red light is excellent for maintaining night sight, and "face" mode for social interaction perfectly removes the rude flashes in other people's eyes while still providing a bit of light for small actions.

The band sometimes sticks to hair which can be annoying, but is necessary to maintain its excellent position control. Love the methodology used to size the band - there are a wide assortment of options which should fit most possible head sizes. I have used this extensively while camping, running, walking, working on cars/projects, and yard work.

10/10 would recommend.

Headlamp has design flaw and broke after two months

The Good- light weight, comfortable, bright, easy to recharge with integrated USB plug.

The Bad- Thin plastic clip for integrated USB plug also holds the silicon band together. Purchased on October 10. Clip broke on December 15 while plugging into USB charger. Headlamp can no longer be charged or worn. Major design flaw to have both the operation and charging of the headlamp dependent on a 1/16th inch plastic clip.
I have KNOG bike lights that have worked flawlessly for many years. I was very hopeful this headlamp would be the same quality. I assume KNOG will honor their 2 year warranty but with this design flaw I also assume the replacement won’t last long.

But the usb connection to charge is the weak point in the design. Absolutely loved this little thing at camp and around my property at night. Went to charge it last week, pulled it apart to charge and the flimsy usb charge port left a part of the usb connector inside the cord. No way to charge now. Out of time to return so to the trash pile it went.

Save your money and find a quality head lamp.

It's very bright, super light and comfy, but if you need a lot of light for longer than an hour this is NOT the light for you. I was on a night run and this thing started blinking about an hour and ten minutes into my run... With a good hour left in my run. These are solid, low-weight headlamps that are USB rechargeable. This is the second one I got, my first was the entry level version. It works great, got a second one so both my wife and I could have one for night hiking. These are great for the backwoods. Not the brightest light in the market place, but when considering weight and performance it is a solid pick. The red light is great for camp, the white lights are more than enough for the trail on a dark night. Would buy again.
