BEWARE of this brand's very poor quality. I bought 5 rash guards for my family in may. My husband and daughter this kanu brand, my boys clearance from target and old navy for myself. I thought they were all the same, if anything I was a bit worried of the target ones because they were bright yellow and cobalt blue and I was afraid of discoloration. Boy was I wrong!!! Both Kanu rash guards virtually disintegrated during our vacation. They not only faded faster than the others (which didn't fade much, by the way) the fabric thinned and became transparent.
All the swim wear got the same exposure to sun, water, chlorine, etc. All the swimwear was rinsed every night and washed on a gentle cycle every other day. We had to buy replacement for the kanu shirts half way because they no longer provided protection. Here are the pictures. The first picture actually shows the faded rash guards and the second picture is from the first day at the beach.

I ordered the size based on "true to size" recommendation. however when it arrived it is a bit small. As long as my child doesn't grow or a gain a pound over the summer it will be fine.

Front decal started peeling off after one wash

This swim shirt fit my child perfectly but after one wash the decal on the chest started to peel off yet is not able to be completely removed without leaving behind areas of residue. Washed in cold water. Never put in the dryer. Do not buy.

Product lost its color after 3 swims...went from a chlorine pool to a salt water pool to a health club pool and it faded to peach from a vibrant neon orange! Fit was great but now it doesn't match the bathing suit tankini which held its color!

I was very excited that this shirt fit my daughter perfectly and that she loved it and wanted to wear it immediately! After less than a week in the pool, however, the decal is more than half peeled off and just hanging on the shirt. My daughter didn't pull or tug on it, nor has it been put through the washing machine. Luckily my daughter doesn't mind at all since she loves the coral color, but I"m more than a little disappointed in what I thought was a reputable brand. Maybe it was a fluke...
