The fit is perfect, my 9 year old loves it, goes on easy and is light weight. The color is great. My only gripe...we have had it for 3 days and the SECOND she hit the water wearing it for the first time, part of the decal came off. It was the "peak" looking part of the brand. Then, today, the swirls started to lift. So, at this point, she has 1 swirl left and it's been worn 2 times. I can't be bothered returning it because we leave for FL on Friday and we need to take it with us. You get what you pay for...
I had to return this shirt twice. My daughter is ten, on a taller side. I ordered size 10-12 and it was way too tight on her. Then, I ordered size 14-16 and it fit exactly the same as size 12. Finally, I decided to give it another try and checked the women's size chart. The funniest thing is that the measurements in the size chart for women's XS are smaller than for junior XL. How is that possible? The children's sizes are all mixed up here.
Pink color shirts bleeds and stains anything it touches, even after several washings and uses in pool and ocean. Too bad because it's cute and fits my skinny child well. It permanently stained 2 bathing suits, another rash guard, a laundry hamper and secure real towels. Good thing I noticed it within hours or more damage would have been done. Yellow color shirt did not bleed at all.
I have purchased 12 Kanu rash guards (children’s and adult) over 5 years and have been pleased with nearly all of them. However this Neon Pink color continues to bleed every time it’s wet after 10 months of use and at least 10 washings.
I have 3 girls and purchased 3 of these shirts, they all fit great, but as others have said the colors run! My 10 year old had the orange one and it was the first to go, it didn't even last 3 months! My youngest has the pink one, it was the worst for the color running, it is going in the bin next week after her new ones arrive. My middle daughter has the blue one and it is still ok, but she hasn't worn it that much. I was disappointed, pay the money and get roxy or billabong, at least they last!
I bought three of these swim shirts for my three kids, one purple, one pink and one red. The purple and red still look great, however, the pink swim shirt has lost most of it's color and lost it's shape. The elasticity is almost gone and I am really disappointed. The other shirts have held up well and been subject to the same amount of wear and tear, but have really done much better than the pink one.
