I ordered this item in the size my 3 year old would need, according to their size chart. She needed a 4T according to them. However, the sleeves were about a foot too long, as was the torso. I was afraid to order a 3T, because I thought it would be too small, but it fit perfectly. It was a little long in the sleeves still, but overall, a good fit.

We just spend a week at the beach in Florida, and this shirt really kept my little one protected from the sun.

I did not have any issues with the dye bleeding, as some other commenters have noted.

Small opening for head

The opening for the head is surprisingly small and tight (other parts are true to size), and it's a struggle every time I put it on and take it off my child, particularly when the shirt is wet, which is often the case when using this. It is frustrating and annoying given the price but not annoying enough that I would go to the trouble of returning it.

This product, and it might be the color, bleeds so much I would not rcommend it. You should not put it in the wash with any other clothes. I washed it by hand. Before that I let it sit in salty water hoping the color would set. It did set a little, but I still washed it by hand for fear of ruining an entire load of laundry.

We purchased the pink ones, two of them, and both were staining towels and anything we put in the bag that contains those shirts. We purchased many of those in the past and never that bad quality. Returning and warn all parents so your cloths doesn't get ruined.

Great long sleeve shirt for pool & beach play with beautiful, bright color options. This fit my 3 year old perfectly, and because the fabric has Upf 50+ sun protection, we didn't have to douse her in sunblock. We spent hours in the pool & beach in over 80 degree F weather, but my daughter never complained about this shirt bothering her. I believe the quick dry material and rashguard properties make it very comfortable.

Reason for 4 stars instead of 5? The color bleeds!! We washed it by hand in the sink, and left it to air dry. By the end of the day, there was a puddle of neon pink color underneath. Fortunately, we didn't wash it in the machine with other clothes, otherwise we would all be sporting neon pink outfits :). Maybe this only affects certain colors, but if you buy the neon pink shirt, please beware of the color bleed issue.

I’ve washed it three times in the washer. Soaked it, rang water out 10+ times, it still has pink coming out. My daughter loved this shirt, so I tried to get the dye out, but it’s impossible. Colored my daughter's skin pink and all our beach clothes it came into contact with.
