To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyses reviews to verify trustworthiness.
I was heartbroken when Carhartt discontinued their rugged camo shorts as I have worn and abused a couple of pairs for about 6 years. I love how they fit, looked, and how, well, rugged, they were. I wanted to get another pair to replace one that had developed an unsightly and inconveniently placed hole in the seat but to no avail. I finally settled on the Lee's due to the reviews and colors, have thrown them into the mix, and have liked the the results so far. They fit great, they're comfortable, the colors are good, and they seem to be well built.
Good material, not thin and flimsy. The belt is wide and looks better than the thinner belt I'd use otherwise. The simple sliding clasp is easy to deal with. The size 32 product fit perfectly.
Time will tell if it falls apart like most cargo shorts. I will try not running it through a washer and dryer unless it is actually stained in hopes of not stressing the fabric. The Ash Camo cloth (more warm toned than neutral gray) should look OK without machine washing after every time it's worn. Mud spots can simply be rinsed and air dried.
I'm happy with the product after wearing it for one day. It felt fine on a five hour bike ride. One pocket with velcro perfectly fit my wallet. I'd buy another pair again after its good first impression, but will wait and see how it holds up. Hopefully it won't be fraying after six months of active, outdoor use. The review will be updated in the event of problems.
