I have worn Lee Riders all my life, I'm now 47 years old. I tend to buy two pairs and wear them until they're totally worn out before buying another couple pairs. I have always worn size 6 petite which fit perfectly everywhere but are a little on the loose side, which I like. I usually keep a size 4 petite on hand as well which fit me just a little more snuggly though are not tight. My size 6 wore out completely so I decided to order them online which I'd never done. I decided to be on the safe size and order a size 8 petite since I did not want them tight. I feared they might be too big and I'd have to return them. To my shock, they are WAY too small in the thighs and WAY to big in the waist. I held them up to my size 6 petites and the thighs of the size 8 are much smaller (in fact they're smaller than my size 4 petites) and the waist is huge, it bulges out about two inches in the back. So they've completely remade their jeans so that I can no longer wear them. If I go up another size so they fit in the thighs, the waist will be so huge that I could probably pull them over my hips without unbuttoning them. If I go down a couple sizes so the waist will fit, I'll never get them over my hips. What a joke! These are shaped for a man! I'm not a man! I'm curvy! My old size 4's and 6's fit perfectly everywhere, they fit over my hips and curved in to lie smooth against my waist with no bulge in the back. So I'm returning these and wearing my old size 4's until they wear out. I don't know what I'll do then. I'm so disappointed. Maybe I'll add some pictures later, showing how they compare to my size 4's and 6's.
Lee Women's Classic Fit Monroe Straight Leg Jean, Horizon, 6 Short They have completely changed -- and as far as I'm concerned, RUINED -- the styling of the Monroe jeans. These were my staples for three years until I bought a pair in a size 8 S earlier in the year. It was at at least two sizes too large, higher and tighter in the waist, wide across the hips, and baggy in the legs.
I returned them, but in the hope that I'd been sent an irregular, I recently ordered a second pair in a different wash -- this time in a 6 S. Well, it fit better across the hips, but the thighs were still baggy, and the legs had that "telephone pole" silhouette that you see in straight-leg "Mom jeans". Classic fit my [expletive deleted]!
Love this style Lee Jeans. They are one of only a handful of sellers that offer their jeans/pants in a "short" size. I'm 5"4" tall so if I get a jean or pant in just a regular size 8, I always have to have them taken up. I'm 145 lbs and the 8 short fit me perfectly. They are slightly loose (not at all skin tight), but not baggy. Lee offers many style jeans and I usually get the Classic Fit or the Relaxed Fit. Lee are the jeans that always fit me best.
Wish Lee made this style w/flannel lining for winter--or heavier weight demin. LOVE the fit, durability and price. These are worn for everything from heavy gardening/outdoor yard maintenance to everyday dressy casual. I'm hard on my jeans and wear out the knees before the jeans are really worn out. Solve that by cutting them off for gardening shorts...
I have a pair of Lee Women's Classic fit jeans and they fit perfectly. I ordered 2 pairs of these and was surprised at how large they are. I can use them, but if I lose any weight (which I hope to do) they will be too big to use. Oh well, they'll work until I do lose some weight and then I have lots of jeans in the closet that I'll be able to use.
