To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyses reviews to verify trustworthiness.
I thought they would flatter me a bit more with the tummy control panel. they were roomy in the hip area but the length was great since I bought the long. I am 5'7" and they are a good length to go over shoes and boots. Leg width is perfect no to wide but not a taper at all. I should have went down one size. They do have stretch.
Been ordering Lee's jeans on a regular basis - usually in ther colours but this one was on sale so decided to give it a try.. For some reason this pair came in a wet/humid package. It still looked okay so I thought I could wash the moldy odour out of it, but after like 8 washes I've officially given up. Should have returned them. Can't wear these unless I'm painting or gardening or something. Disappointed.
I'm giving these jeans 3 stars because they fit as expected and cons aren't enough to return. I'm 5'8" and 210 lbs with long legs and shortish waist. These cinch a bit at the belly, but not uncomfortably so. They fit around my thighs and are neither baggy nor skin tight. The length is perfect for me...the hem hits the top of my shoes. As others have mentioned, these are not 98% cotton. The tag says 75% cotton, 24% polyester and 1% spandex. I hate when the waist band folds on itself or rolls, so hopefully there is enough cotton structure to keep this from happening. Will update the review if this happens. I also checked the Lee website for these same jeans and the fabric composition is correctly described there, so it is misstated here. Also as others have mentioned, the buttonhole is TOO TIGHT! Basically, a buttonhole stitch has been sewed in a sort of teardrop shape and then the middle sliced open to create the buttonhole. I took scissors to it to trim all around the inside of the stitching to make the buttonhole bigger before I even tried on...I was afraid I wouldn't be able to unbutton them otherwise.
I ordered 2 of the mid rise at 16 long and thought I might like the hi rise better so ordered 2 pair. Well I ordered 16 long and the hi rise one pair was 1 1/2 inches shorter (was too short) than the other and I measured the hi rise to the mid rise and there was 1/4 inch different. They fit no higher than the mid rise.
The size was ok except, I ordered LONG and it stopped above the ankle! It is supposed to be 33" - it measured 31"..The front rise is about 1.5" too long, the the back is just right. Could be a cutting error I guess. Will be returning. I have another pair coming tomorrow so will wait for that one to see if this one is just a fluke.
I washed them asap and the pants (I purchased two in different colors) but they still have the stink on them as did the wools socks I previously bought washed many times and threw them out. So I'm going to see if the pants will be free of the odor or else I'm returning for refund.
Not true Lee sizing. I’m usually an 18 but have lost some weight so I ordered 16&18 thinking surly one would fit, both were very small. I always buy Lee jeans and am now thinking these are probably a knockoff.
The first pair had a defective button-hole (too small) so I exchanged them for a replacement. The replacement also had a defective button-hole (too small) so I simply returned them and did not ask for a replacement. Avoid these jeans!
