I normally wear size 10 to 12 (M to L) and I ordered 12, expecting these to be a bit loose based on other reviews and the description. These jeans are not as described. They are tighter than skinny jeans. The material is not what is listed in the description. These do not have 2% spandex. The label says 1%, but I would be surprised if even that is true. When I put the jeans in front of me, they looked like they would fit well, but they're so stiff that I can barely get them up without hurting myself. When I finally did, they were below by belly button. These are low rise jeans, not high rise. Based on the inseam listed for the normal length, I thought these would be a bit long. They're actually a bit short and I'm only 5'4". The fly is super stiff. I couldn't zip it up when I tried on the pants. I took the pants off and tried again - it was still difficult to zip up and did not go all the way up. I broke part of my finger nail trying to get the fly working - I got it a bit better, but not good enough to wear. The inner label was also faded and slightly ripped when the product arrived. I expected better from this company. These jeans are too stiff to wear and the sizing is smaller than it should be especially considering how stiff these are.
This Lee jean was the worst fit of any Lee jeans I've worn in the past! And I have worn Lee jeans for 30 years. I couldn't even zip them up & the button was so tight, couldn't button it even when not wearing. Now, you could say they claim to be "instantly slimming", so what did I expect? Well, I stopped wearing girdles a long time ago & this jean felt tighter than that (couldn't take a deep breath or sit in them)! I also bought this same jean in black at the same time. They are a perfect fit, & sometimes black jeans run a little smaller in the same style. The thing I've learned about Lee jeans is, if you find a pair that you love, run, don't walk, back to the merchant & by 6 more pairs! You will never find that same style again. Edit: Got these in Inspire Blue & tag says "Made in Egypt". The same style in black says "Made in Mexico". The 2 pairs of "Midrise Straight" jeans in faded blue I bought 2 years ago (I loved & they're discontinued) came from Egypt & China! The pair from Egypt still look good. The pair from China had faded unevenly & stretched up another size! Went to the trash. Check your tags for "Made in"!
I really like these jeans alot. I have them in two colors - Inspire, which is light-wash blue , and Blue Lagoon, a medium blue. I got a size 10 in both and they fit exactly the same: a little relaxed and loose. The regular length is good for me. I've washed many times and dried in the dryer with no shrinkage. They are easy upkeep. I'm 5'6", about 126 pounds. Waist 29, hips 39. I usually wear an 8 or 10, depending on the fabric and cut. If it's something thin and stretchy, I usually wear an 8, but if the fabric is thicker and less stretchy, a 10. These do have some stretch, but they're more like thick, old-school, non-spandexy jeans really. These are nice, affordable, basic jeans (which is sadly not that easy to find these days).
Fit nicely and comfortable, but no matter how many times I've washed them, they smell HORRIBLY of chemicals, like gasoline. It's absolutely AWFUL. I've tried EVERYTHING to get rid of the smell. Nothing works.
These jeans fit as expected, color was fine but they smell like chemicals. I liked them so thought I could wash the smells out but so far 3 washes and dryer and hung outside they still have a nasty odor. Should have sent them back, will not buy again.
