Best budget friendly work pants

Love these pants! The only reason I gave 4 stars is because these are VERY cotton-y, and if you have cats or dogs... plan to spend a good 10 minutes lint rolling! They also get very linty after being washed and dryed. I will say, however, the pockets are AMAZING!! Front pockets are deep and the back pocket is functional. Honestly, if these were in a different material, I would buy 3 more pair.

Waist was tight, not “ample”

I bought these because so many said these are comfortable for those who have more belly than saddlebags. I have always had issues with waist being too small vs the hip size in pants even when I was a size 2/4. I bought an 8 thinking there would be ample waist size as I’ve gained weight this year. Pants have plenty of room but yet the waist is too tight. I feel these run small in the waist, not “ample” as some have stated. Now I have to brave Covid and go return these. Very disappointed. If you’re like me. And your waist is the area you have to be concerned with, I wouldn’t buy. If you’re shaped like my sister where you have smaller waist and bigger hips, these should work for you. On the positive side, I ordered a “short”, I’m 5’3” and length was perfect. Wish there had worked.

I just got these in the mail, and I tried them on.
I am 4'11, 148 lbs and I got Size 10 short !
I have been growing so fast and haven't been able to find a decently priced pair of work pants. Usually when I find something they are too long, or too tight around my butt area. These fit me just right! And the length is perfect. Normally when I buy even "short" pants they are a foot too long for me, and I either let them rip up or have to hurry up and get them hemmed.

I'm definitely going to be buying 3-4 more pairs of these when I get paid, and hopefully I don't grow too much more any time soon!

NOT like the Lee All Day Pant

I wanted Lee All Day pants because I really like the pair I have. Lee has replaced the all day pant with these that they call Effortless Wash and Wear. It is not a comparable replacement. The fabric is a lighter weight (summer-like weight) and less soft than my old favorites. Directions are to wash in cold water, dry on low or line dry, low iron. To me, this is not effortless. I washed and dried as I do for most loads - in warm and regular drier heat. The fit didn't change much but they will need to be ironed. I have not worn them yet so can't comment on how they'll look at the end of a long day.

pros: Fit length wise perfect and the general fit is comfortable with just a little stretch. Works great if you have to wear a uniform and tuck a shirt in. Has decent back pockets which I can fit my phone into.
cons: Material wrinkles easy and it holds the lint

I have been searching for black pants forever now since Lee changed the cut of their sinfully soft black relaxed pants a few years ago. These are a pretty good substitute and will buy a few more so I can wear them to work.
I bought a size 8 short and am 5'2" 140lb

Bought these for my daughter. They were exactly as described. She would have liked to have a low rise but I couldn't find any in the length she needs (short). I haven't noticed any peeling yet on the pants but they have only went through the wash 3x so time will tell on that.
