3.0 out of 5 stars Not for hourglass figures

I love the colour, sleeves, material and length. I strongly disliked the pockets. They are not designed properly. I have hips, so they popped right out and made the entire dress unflattering. I returned it. It could work on a woman without hips.

3.0 out of 5 stars Loose Neckline, Otherwise Cute

I quite liked this dress for the most part, but the neckline is too loose & doesn't lay flat, making it look very cheap, so I returned it.

3.0 out of 5 stars Sizing VERY Inconsistent, but it's a cute dress
Reviewed in the United States on 22 August 2019

The sizing consistency is WAY off with the lark and ro dresses. I have a size 12 from this brand that I love and fits great (I am typically a 10, so did have to size up). Expected to size up with this dress as well, so I ordered a 12. It was terribly small! Fit like it was a 6/8. I did order the 14 hoping I might be able to pull it off. I will update once I get it. Come on Lark and Ro we all want to love these dresses but the sizing has got to be taken care of!

Update,
The 14 is still at least 2 sizes too small. But it will work for me and it is a flattering cut for my body so I will be keeping it.

3.0 out of 5 stars Not great quality, wrinkly fabric
Reviewed in the United States on 10 August 2019

I really liked the cut and look of the ivory dress and took a chance despite other reviews. The quality, however, is just not worth the price. While the fit was fine for me, you could see the outlines of the white pockets through the skirt not to mention any underwear. Plus the fabric is super wrinkly and really detracts from the crisp look shown in the Amazon pictures.

3.0 out of 5 stars Did not love it

I have 2 other Lark and Ro dresses that I love and get compliments on. This one was super fitted (even though same size as my others), not flattering, and looked cheap to me. I sent it back.

3.0 out of 5 stars Awkward placement of side pockets
Reviewed in the United States on 5 March 2019
I wanted to enjoy this dress, it was simple and the small details made it standout to me plus it has pockets! Women love pockets. So I was crushed when I put this one and realized this really good idea to add pockets was just not executed well at all. The actual shape/cut of the dress is nice (when its laid on the ground flat). The boatneck isn’t too wide that your bra straps show, length off the dress is good, sleeves aren’t tight and the fabric has some flexibility while also retaining shape.

However the placement of the pockets is awful. Fit and flares usually suit me as the bottom half flares out and balances my broad shoulders and large chest but not this dress. The seam between the top part of the dress and the bottom hits me at the mid to top part of my abdomen…and that is where the pockets and those faux pocket flaps are. The pockets are on the side of the dress so the fabric doesn’t really lay down well and pokes out causing this odd looking shape that isn’t flattering at all. The “flare” doesn’t really flare at all, its more of a sheath with a wider hip area and the stiffer fabric makes this obvious. In order to really get that flare look which helps to disguise the lumpy look of pockets on the side, the fabric should be much softer.

3.0 out of 5 stars Other reviews are right: unflattering cut.
Reviewed in the United States on 15 July 2019
I agree with other reviewers who said the faux pockets on this dress interacting with the real pockets and your natural hips make for a disaster. Yes, this bulges out at the hips and the pocket flaps are a little high for my liking. The dress is a little too short for my liking as well, considering that when you move or sit, the cut of the dress doesn't lend itself to moving with you and not riding up your torso.
I got a size 2 and it fits more like a 4. I am 5'5", 120 pounds, with wider hips and this dress was roomy enough but in the wrong places. It was above the knee, coming in at about 35" length from shoulder to hem. Overall, I just didn't like how it looked or felt on me. They need to work on the pattern and cut or else just certain body types should wear this.

3.0 out of 5 stars Would have worked better without pockets
Reviewed in the United States on 28 July 2019
The pockets kind of kill this dress: they bulge out/ remain open at the sides. The front flaps are kind of silly too. I do like the beautiful neckline and the stretchy fabric is very nice against the skin.
Another criticism, and this applies to almost all Lark and Ro dresses that I've reviewed, is that it is too short. It would be so great if they could create an option for taller girls that was 2-3 inches longer than their average length.

3.0 out of 5 stars lark and ro half sleeve sheath dress with flap pockets
Reviewed in the United States on 29 June 2019
I liked the idea of this dress--the half-sleeves and the form-fitting design. The dark color was also versatile, and the fabric felt comfortable. My main issue was the fit--while the waist was well-defined, it was somewhat small at the hip level, with the flap pockets jutting out awkwardly on the sides. I think it would have fit better without the pockets, which kind of ruined the look for me.
