I bought this shower curtain in November last year. After two months of daily use by two people, I saw no visible stain buildup on the curtain. I washed it today for the first time. I threw it in with my towels. After the cycle was done, I found it stiffer than usual. I put it in the dryer on air dry, but only for a minute. It got off some water and I then hung it again. The fact that there was no water stain buildup on the curtain was a plus. However, the curtain is awkward because it’s like it has a mind of its own on where it falls in the shower. It’s very heavy and thick, unlike the curtains I always buy. My husband hates this new curtain. I’m not crazy about it either but just realized that yesterday was my last day to return them (I bought two). I’m just so disappointed that it’s so very stiff and hard to wash. Buyer beware!
Considering the economic climate, I couldn't get into Bed Bath & Beyond to purchase a new curtain liner, so I ordered one from Amazon.
Pros: Easy to clean It's plastic, so yes, it's water resistant
Cons: Magnets don't work Thick, hard, cheap plastic, hard to move, makes crinkly noises. This is annoying, it impedes on my shower space! Plastic after a week, still has creases in it from being folded.
I won't buy this again. Glad it was cheap, you pay for what you get, but does the job, for now.
This had such great reviews so I bought it. What I was looking for was a more substantial shower curtain liner that would not flap around from the steam of the shower. It is really irritating to me to take a shower, and constantly be kicking the shower curtain off my leg like an unwanted dog's (cat if you prefer) affection. I have to set the shampoo bottle at one end and the conditioner bottle at the other to keep it from touching me. The magnets do nothing. My husband took one shower, and made a little rip in it but pulling it aside as most people do when they want to get out of the shower. He's not gentle, but my last shower curtain liner held up to his abuse for years. Yes, years, because it was thick and I sent it through the washing machine when necessary. I wouldn't do that with this one. I will be searching for a more substantial and less fluttery one.
I wanted a totally clear liner and bought this one because of all the super reviews. Bottom line: I intensely dislike it. The good part is it started off crystal clear. Irritating parts: stiff and bulky so it is constantly intruding into my bath space, even fully closed, plus it comes off my double hook shower “rings.” It may not mildew much but it is horribly water spotted, even using my daily spray cleaner on it. The magnets are worthless for keeping the curtain out of the way while showering. I’ve suffered with this liner for 9 months and I hate it more everyday but I’ve been too cheap to get a new one. Hope it makes a good tarp for when I paint.
Amazon shows I've bought this twice: once in late 2018, and again last week. The one from 2018 eventually developed mold inside the 'sealed' magnet compartments, so I decided to replace it. The replacement, ordered from the exact same product page, is a lighter material and only has three magnets as opposed to five or six on the original version. The new magnets are tiny.
It's effectively not a weighted shower curtain anymore.
Ignore the positive reviews from before this year--this is no longer the same product.
I keep a clean bathroom. I often change out liners because I am really anxious about making sure I'm not standing in a petri dish. However, I didn't expect to have to change this one out so quickly. There were dark spots on the bottom of the curtain after two weeks. Maybe I'm doing something wrong with my cleaning process, but I don't think I am. I scrubbed them and still, it came back quicker than expected. So how are these resistant? Maybe I'm missing something.
I was disappointed in the low quality. Edges were not hemmed. The plastic is very thin, so it isn't clear that it will be possible to scrub it without risking a tear. It demonstrates static cling, so the clean appearance hoped for is not a result of purchasing a new shower liner. On the positive side, it got here quickly. Save your money. Look carefully for quality liners, or like me, you risk having to pay again to replace it all too soon.
This shower liner features brass rings. The diameter of the brass holes is too small to fit over the plastic snap on rings that support the curtain. I'm not sure how long it will stay up so I need to buy new rings. I'm rating this durable since most liners last about a year before you need to clean them with a bleach product to eliminate mildew. Overall, it was a chore to install, something that should have been fool proof.
I've only been using this for a few days, so can't speak to the longevity, but there are a couple major flaws. It's way too big for a standard shower curtain; although it has the correct number of hook holes, the curtain extends a foot too far on each end, and bunches up too much between hooks. Secondly, the magnets/ weights are not effective - they're not powerful enough. The curtain itself is a nice, heavy material. Unfortunately, the flaws outweigh that, and I wouldn't recommend this shower curtain.
I have used shower curtain for at least 5 years with the bathtub. This has NEVER Happened before. But when I use this curtain and turn on hot shower head, the curtain itself flow and stick into my skin. At first, I think it's because it's new, but after using for 2 days, this is still happening. Can you imaging your bath tube is not wide (regular size) but the curtain itself flow by and took 1/2 of your bathtub area. This is very frustrating. I don't know what's going on but will return this one.
