MasterPro' s appliance heats and circulates a pot of water so you can enjoy sous vide cooking at home. French for `under vacuum', the sous vide method uses sealed pouches to cook vegetables, fish, poultry, red meat and more in a water bath - achieving succulent, nutritious, consistent and flavoursome results. This technique has been used by chefs for decades to lock in natural juices - creating light food that is evenly cooked from edge-to-edge, for consistent results every time. Oil, herbs and spices can be added to pouch prior to cooking to infuse flavours throughout. Food can be easily and quickly vacuum sealed with a food-grade snap lock bag and pot of water. This is referred to as the water displacement method. Simply place food in bag and seal leaving a small section open. Lower bag into pot or bowl of water until only the unsealed section remains above the water. Water pressure will remove air from bag, sealing it around food. Then, close bag completely to vacuum seal. Food can then be cooked to perfection using the Sous Vide Precision Cooker and a pot of water. Appliance measures 8x10.5x37.5 centimetres.
