I have purchased other versions of these drawers and they are better finished on the underside of each drawer. No major problem though as it is easily fixed with a piece of sandpaper and a sanding block. In a way I am happy they are rough because it gives me the opportunity to finish them off to a high standard. Externally the drawers have an excellent finish. These are very well priced and perfect for my mechanical pencil collection. They definitely need sanding though as the rough finish impedes the smooth opening and closing of the drawers and makes them noisy in a gritty sort of way. To make the drawers even better to push in and pull out, run a wax candle along the running edges...this smooths them out beautifully. Just a little effort for a big payoff.

The box comes with a different number of drawers and I chose the one with 6.
For me, it was a great box. I had recently bought the large porcelain pans made by Blockx colours.

These are giant pans and I really like them as you can put in the large 2-inch brushes. Really fun to use.
I was reluctant to buy the pans as I did not know how to store them in a way that made all the pans very easily accessible. Also, if they were wet, then I couldn't place them on each other.
For that, this was box is great. All the pans fit in beautifully, especially height-wise. And even the width of each section is a perfect fit for the pans.

I have removed a star as I am having difficulty opening the topmost drawer. It is not fitting perfectly into the groove.

Very happy with the buy.

Look good dont take up much room and
Keeps my pencils in one place and safe from dropping on the floor except for when I drop them lol. If you value your expensive pencil then this is a must.

The box is flimsy. The drawers are not as deep as described. The wood separating the spaces are not sanded and therefe splinters get to your fingers easily. The drawers do not slide in and out easily. Before use, I have to wax the bottom sides of each drawer so that it can slide easier. I have to sand the splinters of the space dividers . I think I pay too much for this box.
