The tin is of a really nice quality and is pretty sturdy, comparable to more expensive brands (possibly even better). The fact that it also comes full of empty half pans is an added bonus. I've filled mine to capacity with Daniel Smith paints and it's perfect for my studio or carrying around in a backpack. You can actually fit four additional half pans in and have 52 of them, which works a lot better because then none of the pans move around. Sweet! I also have pink and blue tins by Meeden, and they're really great too.

The palette was generally good. I've used it, transferred my half pans from another palette into here and brought the whole set with me on my last two trips. Very handy.
The half pans that come with it and holder of the pans are slightly bigger than my current Winsor and Newton watercolour half pans, so I had to put a double sided tape at the bottom to keep them in place. Saw some scratches on the tin as well, not that bad but visible enough for me. I was also expecting a black palette, but received a pink one instead. I was expecting a black one. And lastly, just an FYI, when I have my travel brush inside the palette it makes a clanging sound when I was walking and the palette is in my backpack. ;p
Overall, it's still a good purchase. I can add more pans in it and add other colors to my set. Will try it out on my weekly sketching class starting next week.

I've limited experience in watercolours but like them a lot. My friend an artist advised there was really only one did color (yellow ochre), she was unsure about them being artist quality. Another time I'd spend a little bit more and get the same paints with the pallet. Buying a pallet separate costs more overall.

One was totally build, while the other one had a bag with the pans separate. Here, all the pans don't fit properly in the box, like they are too big.

These palettes are amazing! I have the Sennelier watercolours, and the palette is identical to the one sent by this company! It even has the holding ring on the back. I paid a massive amount for my Sennelier palette and it’s amazing quality, and there’s absolutely no difference between the two palettes except for the shape of the wells on the right. They even have the same way to hold the watercolour pans in place. (See picture). I’ve bought 2 in my first order of the 48 half pan ones. And I’ve just purchased a further 24 half pan one. I honestly can’t say enough good things about these! These will forever be my favourite watercolour palettes from now on. I can’t believe I’ve spent so much more on other palettes that pale in comparison to these.

Just not what I expected, small, fiddly and very difficult to clean

I did not expect this to be so fiddly. Every compartment comes out individually but they are so difficult to remove. It hurt my fingers just trying to get them out and put them back in again. Perhaps your not supposed to get them out but I don't know how I would get the pots dry or clean otherwise.
The thought of travelling with this just does not sit well with me unless you have good cleaning facilites where you are going.
The tin is metal so I 'm worried that it may rust overtime if not dried properly. Overall I'm just not that satisfied with this. I have no issue with the seller, it came exactly as advertised. It may be that this is just not for me.

I paint mostly with intense blocks and watercolour and I was looking for a more compact way of carrying my colour blocks with me.. Derwent have introduced a travel set of inktense but it only contains 12 colours so I had the idea of cutting my blocks into pieces to fit into this Meeden box. Now I can carry up to 48 colours with me. As can be seen from the photo it contains a mixture of inktense and standard watercolours. Perfect for my needs.

The watercolour tin came quickly. It is perfect for all my watercolour tubes and to be able to see what colours I am working with. I am looking forward to using this as my little travel set. The 48 tin was perfect although you made need to order another 4 empty half pans as there is a little gap so the last row move around a little bit. I am currently looking to order another smaller watercolour tin from Meedeen.

Great watercolour palate. I use some Winsor and Newton half pans in it so am able to put a lot more than 48 in.
Plenty of compartments for mixing. The only downside is that the removable part rattles around as it is slightly too small. I have tried using magnets to remedy this but it didn't work. I would have given 5 stars if not for this.
