Such fantastic value and surprisingly good quality. I wouldn't say the paints are "high transparency", they're kind of like a cross between a watercolour and a gouache. Very vibrant and rich pigment. Washes aren't as easily achieved as a good quality watercolour, but the paint remains smooth and doesn't go grainy. I haven't tried out all of the colours as yet, but one of the yellows is a little disappointing, but overall, very very happy. I wouldn't use them in a professional capacity (I use Sennelier), but I bought them to use in my sketchbooks, and they are perfect for that purpose. Very neat and portable little set. I would have been happy with just the one water brush for the price, but you get a set of three flat brushes along with the one round brush - fantastic! Earth colours aren't so well represented in the palette, but from what I have tried, there's a warm and cool black, lots of greys, and the reds are much more vibrant than they seem in the palette. These would be great for older kids (the palette is a little fiddly for young ones, and bound to get messy), students, and for sketchbook and journal use (as I am using them). They'd be a nice little gift to spark someone's creativity.

Excellent colour range, vibrant colours, not transparent as others (could be good or bad depending on how to want to use them). Very useful to take on the go, either just outdoors to sketch, or away when travelling. Definitely need to make a colour swatch, as only way to determine hue and saturation of each colour. Overall, very good.

I wasn't sure what to expect with the size and quality but it's quite a good size that can spread out with colours and they're great quality. Something I didn't realize was included is a plastic shallow dish or palette almost that is folded at the very bottom so you can mix or dilute colours. It's such a great price for the product for any watercolour beginners or someone who's used them a bit already and wants to try something new. I'd love to buy more for friends and family but they're unavailable right now :(

I ordered this product recently and it was delivered very quickly. The first thing that I noticed was the pen brushes. Three out of four of them had broken plastic and bristles caught in the cap, making them unusable. The actual palette is amazingly pigmented and quite nice. Though, I was still disappointed that I couldn't use all of the brush pens that I paid for, which was the whole point of my purchase. Wish I could get sent new brush pens instead of having to spend more money on a different set.
