As always, addictive, I couldn’t put it down!
This is probably one of my favourite series ever, it has it all. We all love a female lead who can kick ass and can admit to not having all the answers or being perfect. If only real life had more ‘Tamsin’s’ in it. If you like a FMC who can stand up for what is right, seriously sexy men, friendship and of course some steamy between the sheets (or even in nature) action, then do yourself a favour and read this!

Ms Flynn has a strong voice.
Her characters are not bubble gum sweet, they are flawed individuals that triumph when they overcome their flaws. There was a scene in the book where the characters discussed a well known show of the 90s... Having been a fan of the show I could see it the years pass of 2 generations. What seemed progressive then, of course looks somewhat dated when looked at thru the eyes of 'progress'... But in the last generation there have been advances in how society sees sexuality, how it is portrayed in all forms of media. At one time, in fantasy, a strong female character was almost a Conan the Barbarian in drag...

So, it is nice to see that Ms Flynn has given her female characters strong roles who can be badass while embracing being female... and embracing their sexuality. But not simply made her male characters simple adjuncts to the story.
I enjoyed this story, just as I have enjoyed all in this series & in her other series. Looking forward to the next one!

I'm not someone who likes to leave reviews for things, I guess I'm a bit lazy like that. But I will always 100% go to bat for my favourite writer Erin R Flynn.
The book and overall story perfectly encapsulate what it is like being a woman in a man's world, and I feel vindicated when Tamsin Vale or her supporters defeat an enemy who seek to destroy the progress they have made towards equality. Sure its a paranormal setting, but it is done beautifully with many layers of politics and culture that a lot of paranormal romance RH books don't have.
Ill be the first to admit I like to read books with lots of a sex in it, and this one didn't actually contain that much sex between Tamsin and her boyfriends, but I actually didn't mind because the story is so intriguing.
(Mild spoiler, no names)
I love love love that Tamsin has someone solid in her corner and I can tell that the future story involving them is going to break my heart, but that's the way when you're emotionally invested in an amazing series like this.
Seriously give it a go, 10/10 would recommend.

My kids even know its mums day ti rrad when a new book comes out. Keep writing sweetie as your a fantastic author. I even picture your series as a tv series.

Started ok....but

The english is getting worse and reading the books is like watching the paint dry accompanied by a droning noise. The characters are even changing personalities and blurring into each other and are as unrealistic as a fanged chicken. I had to concentrate to make out the gist of what was going on as the sentences often didnt make sense due to incorrect words, repetition or editing done with copy paste and not checked for coherency.
This is the last book i will bother reading as the whole series so far has gone no where and keeps going downhill with each book.
