I found when adding the garlic powder to what I'm cooking. I get the full benefit of the garlic flavour.
I had tried sprinkling the garlic powder on buttered toast (instant garlic bread ;) ), but there was only a faint taste of the garlic. Followed by the full garlic breath.
I'm guessing the heat from the cooking process, activates the powder to give it the full flavour.
Next I'll try it when making proper garlic bread, with a French stick wrapped in foil and heated in the oven.
I used this Garlic Powder as an experiment to make garlic bread. To my surprise it turned out well. With traditional clove of garlic you can taste and feel the texture of garlic however with powdered garlic there is no texture but just flavouring.
I did feel however more garlic powder needed to be added to get that extra garlic taste this because powdered garlic has no naturally occurring juices, where as traditional clove garlic when squeezed has remminance of juice.
I will try and sprinkle garlic with my food and see if I can get the extra flavouring.
