The paint is vibrant and smooth. These are a great paint pen. These work very well as embellishments over both wax based and oil based pencils in adult colouring books which is what I bought them for. Recommended.
But something to be aware of, it takes a LOT of pumps to get the paint going so if the paint isn't coming out, keep pumping. LOL.

I was pretty disappointed with these. I bought them to use for a scrapbook after the other great reviews but was left disappointed. The metallic look doesn't come across very well and the colour seems really washed out. All of these came across very silvery because of the metallic look. I had to run the pen over the same spot multiple times to get the colour to come across. This just wasn't a good choice for the project I needed it for. These were better than the glitter version though.

So I've been using these pens for a few days now (on black paper) and they are quite gorgeous and easy to use. I love the colour choice that comes with them too. The only issue I've been having is that they're a little messy. Sometimes when I write the pen nib 'vibrates' against the paper and causes tiny ink splatters. They're very, very small so it's not noticeable for the most part, but they are there sometimes. Also, if you shake them with the cap off they MAY leak everywhere.
