Quiet Vacuum

After having a number of vacuums by another well known brand I was very disillusioned by their design and performance. I looked at some reviews and Miele came out on top with regard to reliability and performance. This vacuum cleaner is very quiet, has a really long cord so you are not unplugging and plugging in at each room. It has a long adjustable handle so great for tall people. The canister is simple to empty and fits back into the machine easily. If you have to stop vacuuming you can clip the handle to the side so no one trips over it. I just wish the the clip worked when it stands upright in storage, perhaps a rotating clip would be a good idea. Anyway I am very happy with my purchase.

A life of cheapo vacuums now finally purchased something decent and it is very clear why proper models cost more. At full power this vacuum just about lift the carpet, easily small rugs or mats. Picks up so much more than previous units have owned.

While "heavier" in the wand it is very ergonomic to use, extending out high enough for me at 6 foot to use easily without bending. Beacuse of the increased suction don't have to push the cleaning head right down which in the past has lead to snapping the plastic there.

Great vacuum, worth the price. Stop mucking around with cheap crap if you can afford this get it.

Let me start with suction, on Max it literally will suck up your rug without letting go. Need to down shift power from Max. It is quiet on Max setting when compared to dyson upright vac and I think it does a better job for half the price. It's great at getting under couch/beds and behind furniture(could not do easily with upright) and we think you would need to hit this with a car to break it. Bagless is ok but have noticed some dust in the machine which means the seal between machine and and the dust canister isn't perfect. 4.5/5

I owned a Miele for years before being won over by Dyson's advertising and changing to a bagless vacuum for all the advantages it has. When my old Dyson died I automatically bought a new one and lived to regret that. It was awkward to empty, and made of fragile plastic with several parts breaking and cracking across a few years, it did not live up to it's reputation. With some concern when that one also died I decided to try a Miele again and I am so glad I did. Best decision ever. Easy to use, very easy to empty, easy to clean, follows you as you work better, easy to store. Cleaning power second to none, it removed container after container of dog and cat hair from my carpets and rugs when I first started using it much to my horror. Suction power is huge and the two vacuum feet it came with are perfect for both my wooden floors and carpeted areas. Highly, highly recommend.

Just arrived but already impressed by the suction power and quality of this bagless machine. It is quiet and emits clean smelling air. It replaced another German brand that used bags, had less suction power, emitted dust smelling air and was flimsy in comparison. The only downside of this machine is that it is somewhat heavy.
NB. The delivery by Australia Post was extremely poor - leaving it just inside the entrance of my large, security complex without alerting me using the intercom system. It was lucky that I was working from home and went downstairs to look for the machine as soon I was notified by Amazon by email that it had been delivered. It could have been picked up by anyone!

Very good product!
Great suction.
Sadly, product only comes with a small (tiny) couch cleaner and a crevice tool.
You need to buy other tools separately.
If you buy genuine Miele then you have to pay more (compared to 25 ml circumference off the market).
Emptying & cleaning the bagless section can be time consuming & you could get dust everywhere.
Perhaps bagless type is better-but you’ll have to pay for the bags.
Also, I wish this type of VC came without a cord!
The cordless Miele is at least $799 (AUS) & isn’t as powerful (suction) as this model.
So, would be great if Miele had this type of Vacuum in cordless & the HEPA filter was bigger.

it arrived in good lime and works great. the only down side is that it just clumps hair on the carpet so i have to pick it up on the clump and either bin it or place it down the sucker. suction is great. my carpets haven't been so clean

Talk about an embarrassing eye opener.. I had been using a different vacuum that I thought was doing a really great job, which had finally died on me, and with a new partner who is allergic to cats I thought I really should invest in something to keep the (never ending) shedding of fur at bay. The first run over the bedroom carpets and I had to empty the (substantial) container, as it was just FILLED with dust and fur. It's worth noting that these carpets were, I thought, clean. The upside now is that I know that they are well and truly spotless. This machine itself is also very easy to manoeuvre despite having a cord, and the suction options are perfect for different surfaces. I also really appreciate how long you can extend the handle to the head of the vacuum, as I'm quite tall and no longer finding myself hunching over.

Everyone raves about the dyson, but I was indifferent to it, as they were often people without my super sheddy pets/person and carpet combo. My last vacuum was $300, so this felt EXCESSIVE. ABSOLUTELY AND TOTALLY WRONG! IS THIS WHAT CLEAN FEELS LIKE?! I would strongly recommend it, so you too can feel my embarrassment and relief with now properly clean carpets.
