Unlike most coloring books with a specific subject, this book has a variety of pictures. Some simple, with just one succulent. Others with a few varieties in the picture. Clean, clear and uncluttered art. Will look for more books by this author/artist.
I found this book very disappointing. The description of the book states that the designs are "detailed" and "intricate." That is definitely not the case. The designs are very, very simple and basic. They are essentially "cookie cutter" type designs. They look as if someone took a vector image or template and printed it over and over again making them not only simple but used repeatedly throughout the book. So while you may have 55 pages of designs, they are the same images on several different pages. The book is also printed on basic trade stock paper that is single sided and not perforated. The book is over priced for what you are getting and should be closer to the $5.00 price point.
This is absolutely the best coloring book I have ever purchased. I’m a professional artist but sometimes enjoy a little coloring. This is my go to book and I’m sure I will purchase another. The paper quality is great and alcohol markers do bleed through but not over the lines.
The illustrations are adorable. Too bad the paper is so lame. It reminds of the absolute cheapest computer/copy paper you can buy at the Dollar Store. It's so thin, you can see the images of the pages behind the one you want to color. The paper buckles from gel pens. Maybe you could get away with wax crayons. The paper situation takes away all the pleasure of coloring. What a shame that someone made such a terrible decision to save money on production :(
I mainly use coloring books like this to relax at the end of a long day. This book is perfect for that since the pictures aren't too busy and are rather simple (something I like). One downside is that there isn't much variety between the pictures so I ended up only finishing about half the book. It would be perfect as a gift or something to color every once in a while!
I had no idea what to get a friend of mine for her birthday and did not have a lot of money to spend on a gift. This was a cute option and she LOVES it. Mind you, she turned 25 and truly appreciated this. I sorta want one now too
I ordered this because I thought it would have images like the cover, but it's really just a few large drawings repeated throughout the book. The images aren't printed well and the page quality is poor. I ended up giving it to my niece to color.
