To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyses reviews to verify trustworthiness.
long story short, the tray had to be modified out of the box to keep my keyboard from hitting the floor. You have to tighten a knob to loosen and reposition the tray angle. I cranked on the knob and could not get it to stay at any position. I would have paid more if I thought I was sacrificing basic function. Lesson learned. To be fair I have other products from the same company that work well and as described. Didn't hit the mark on this one though.
This tray looks great online; however, when you try to adjust it up or down, it does not stay in place. While you type on the keyboard, the shelf keeps tilting downward. If there was a zero star, I would have given it to this product. I have ordered a different one and will be returning this immediately thereafter. Buyer beware.
it didn't mention anywhere that the keyboard tray was around 26 inches the only thing it says was you need 18 inches and it doesn't fit on my current desk i am not sure if I'm refunding to buying a new desk because i do actually like this though i cant fully test it. :/ now i got a keyboard tray without arm on my lap because it doesn't fit on my desk wish they had all the info before buying it. if they change this then i will change to 5/5 if i remember to check lmao
I have had this installed now for several weeks and I am disappointed I went with this product. You tighten this in place with a screw knob. Needless to say it does not stay in place once you start typing as the weight of your hands on the keyboard push it down. It winds up resting on my knees when I type. I am continually readjusting and attempting to re-tighten it.
This looks like it could be an affordable, sturdy product and overall good solution for my needs. Unfortunately, the screws needed to install and assemble it are not included. I'm not sure if this is the case for all these units sold, but it is for mine. I've gone to the local hardware store to try and size up the screws, but so far I have not been successful.
So this review is from a PC gamer’s perspective, and for office or personal use is fine. The base is not strong so when settling your hands on the keyboard and mouse it leans downward making it very uncomfortable to readjust only for it to happen over again.
