The Mount-It keyboard tray is very easy to set up & performs as well as I had hoped. It has a single knob that locks the tray into the chosen position without having to use a lot of pressure, & it does it's job well. The tray itself has plenty of room for both my keyboard & mouse & although it does 'bounce' a little, it's not likely to be a problem for anyone. The ball bearing slider is very smooth & it's strong metal construction should ensure it lasts a long time. The only thing that I think could be improved is the wrist support.... it's too hard for long sessions at the keyboard. I may end up replacing it with something a little softer. Conclusion: Excellent value for money, & it lives up to my expectations.
It was easy enough to install. My only complaint with the install is that the four small screws that hold the keyboard/mouse tray "arm" don't hold in place on their own. Had to buy a set of nuts to keep those screws in place. Those should have come with the Tray, in my opinion.
The tray arm itself is difficult to adjust. Tightening or loosening the screws and nuts took some effort to get the tension just right so the Tray is in the position I wanted it. But the arm still moves up and down a bit when typing. No way to stop that, it seems.
The keyboard and mouse tray itself is cheap, thin plastic and flexes and bounces a bit when typing. The wrist rest is narrow and uncomfortable. There's a narrow plastic "bumper" at the top of the tray, so that's as high as keyboard can comfortably go.
For these reasons I am returning this keyboard tray. Going to buy the 3M keyboard tray instead. A bit more expensive, but the reviews are excellent, and it doesn't appear to have the issues I've described.
