My son, who is in 5th grade, read this. He absolutely loved it, and from what he has expressed to me, found it unique, lightly humorous and original. It certainly sounded adorable (the thumb tops?! so cute). He's also read and enjoyed the Harry Potter books and Diary of a Wimpy Kid books, so perhaps other children with those as favorites might enjoy this.
