I love these tanks so much! I think they are very flattering. They have a little bit of compression to them, so they're body-hugging and slimming. Now, they don't have the kind of compression to hold in a lot, so don't expect miracles, but they hold in just enough to make you feel like a slightly slimmer version of yourself.
They are not too short. I hate when shirts are too short and they ride up and the little belly pooch starts to stick out. These don't do that. I really like the way the fabric feels on my skin.
Now of course, if you're not into body-hugging and are looking for more of a loose fit, these are not what you want. But I wanted something that made me feel slimmer and a little bit sexy when working out.
I've enjoyed them so much I bought a second pack that I wear around the house on hot summer days. They're so comfortable, I'll wear them to sleep too.
The shirts I recieved in the mail are in no way what I expected and they don't look like the picture AT ALL. ALSO they sent me large but I ordered medium, could've small with these but my belly would hang out and I'd look like trailer trash. It won't matter anyways because these shirts are unflattering even if they were the right size. DO NOT ORDER OF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR UNDERSHIRTS. they do not make good undershirts either.
I got these bc I wear black tanks almost daily under everything and working out, and I’ve been trying to replace a 90 degree black sheen tank I cannot find anywhere. These are okay under my clothing but I don’t think I’d wear them solo. I don’t like cut and fit as much - also they def aren’t compression. And one of mine ripped the stitches almost immediately. Won’t purchase again.
I usually wear a large in womens to accommodate my chest size and shoulders. I ordered a medium in this compression tank because the chest measurements for around the chest sounded right for my size. It fits like a regular tank top and doesnt compress at all. I'm disappointed but I'm keeping them for undershirts anyway. The seams are soft instead of scratchy like I've had trouble with in the past from other tanks so that's nice.
You should probably think of these as modest coverups for a sports bra. These are like very thin swimsuit tank tops. Slightly shiny, form fitting. They're not shapers. They are not the kind of compression top that helps muscle fatigue. They are compression-style. Sort of the same way a lot of "sports" bras are better described as "sportY".
If you normally need a sports bra for your sport, you'll still need it with this. If people make unwelcome comments or facial expressions when you try to go braless in a tshirt, you'll still need one if you want to wear these out casually. (If you care, that is.)
What they ARE good for: As a coverup over a sports bra under a martial arts uniform without adding too much heat. Dynamic stretching (so I assume they're fine for yoga?) Casual wear. Gardening. General cool summer comfort for those of us who can't get tank tops with built-in bras yet, even though it's 2017.
I'm 36D and I can bend over in them without flashing anybody. They are resistant to riding up under pants/shorts but eventually with enough movement you'll have to pull them down again. The bottom hem stayed put longer than a regular ribbed tank; after 500 punches it wasn't at my belly button, yet, but it was aiming there. And I was cooler.
If you want a form fitting top to stay put forever while doing bridges, or something, you should really get a leotard or unitard, though.
I will be getting more. They work for what I want to use them for.
I am 5’7” and 150 lbs and purchased a medium. These fit perfectly and are very comfortable. I wear them while running and with a waist trainer. The only thing I didn’t like is the seams in the front are not even on each side, but not a major issue. I will definitely be purchasing more!
It's OK. This top is NOT a compression top... it's so stretchy doesn't give you any support, BUT it is indeed very comfortable to wear.... As far as being a compression top I would give it 3 stars because it isn't very "compressive" at all. BUT! If you want to wear it as like a layering top, or even everyday wear, I will say the material is silky, cool, smooth and comfy... plus for the price, you can't complain really.
I'm 5'4 120lbs and a medium fits perfectly. It is a different material than I expected. More silky then soft. It's more like a wic away fabric so runners may really like this. In the picture they look softer. I haven't had the chance to work in them yet to see how well they work with sweat. I do love that they come in a three pack! Good price for what you get. I would reccommend.
