Simply wonderful. I've been using this since summer and it's been working wonderfully. I was a bit hesitant about my purchase due to the people who mentioned tracking black residue everywhere after using it, but I personally have not experienced, nor have I seen, that problem with this mat....so if that happens, you probably got a dud and should exchange it.
That said, I cut this mat into strips and used it to line the steps on my deck stairs. Those steps were DANGEROUSLY slipperly in the below-zero Illinois/Wisconsin winters. Now the snow doesn't pack down until it's ice, and if you sweep the snow off the stairs, you have some quality rubber instead of a potential layer of invisible black ice on your stairs.
This was PERFECT for what we needed this winter. My daughter would come running up next to the car in the garage and slip because of the melted snow and slush. My wife also would get out of the car and had to hold on so she didn't slip. Not after buying this mat. It's EXACTLY what we needed for winter time. My wife even commented about it and how nice it was to get out of her car and step on this instead of the sloppy wet floor (and she hardly says anything about my garage-based purchases).
I would HIGHLY recommend this as it serves dual-purposes of keeping your shoes/car/house more clean (as you're not walking in puddles and tracking stuff in) and more importantly, keeps you and your family/friends safe when walking where water tends to collect or run off.
I purchased 4 of these mats to place in my dish area inside my restaurant. They lasted about a week. The floors can get wet in there, so we bought these to make sure our kids back there weren't slipping. After about a week, the corners started curling up to a point were we couldn't even use them anymore. We did try to turn them over, but they were just too far gone.Came rolled up tightly, won’t lay flat now. Have had weighed down for days. Edges all curled up still. Does no good to have a tripping hazard of a mat!
Exactly what I needed for the garage floor, outside the door. Let's the water and slop sit on the ground and keeps feet dry when you need to grab a garbage bag from the garage. Perfect! And yes, there's a strong rubber smell at first, but after a couple of days in the garage, there isn't a scent.
Awesome mats for the price i work in a machine shop for a living and these things take a beating on a daily basis for long shifts and they hold up great 3 years later no complaints at all well worth every penny
