These are great! They were labeled which side goes on the carpet and which side goes on the floor. We have old hardwood floors and I had to lift up one end and fix the placement of the rug and there was no damage to the floor. One package for one rug. I should have bought two of these (my misunderstanding). So I’ve done opposite corners on the rugs until I order some more. Even with just using opposite corners with these grips my rugs haven’t moved at all! Even when my dog comes in the house from being let out flying like a bat out of hell my rugs still don’t move! I will be repurchasing these for every rug in our house and recommending these to everyone!

I have two Great Danes that can move a XL carpet within seconds. I tried non slip underlining and that was a waste and alot of work..this product here is the BEST thing you can possibly find and it's cheap too.. I cut each strip and placed a small section in each cornor on a 5x7 to see how it holds up. Let's just say. The combined 315 lbs Danes can not move the carpet and we are extremely happy. I have used these strips all through the house even on my front door entrance mat... PERFECT!!

Don’t expect to lift your rug and get the same adhesion.

Only worth it if you don’t intend to ever lift your rug. I purchased this product for a 5’ by 8’ rug in the living room. The material of the strips are thick enough so I felt secure that they would do the job, but not too thick that you could feel them under the corners of the rug. The living room gets a lot of traffic thanks to my large dogs, cat and toddler who uses the space for a play area (a great way to keep his toys isolated to a space rather than all over the laminate flooring). I got a month’s use out of them, before I made the mistake of lifting the rug to vacuum under it and it just wouldn’t stick anymore.

Extremely disappointing. I’m still giving it 2 stars because for the time that I kept the rug down, it did the job. My dogs (95 lbs and 110 lbs) ran through and play fought on it every other day and it never budged. It’s just a pity to waste $10 on something that lasted me 4 weeks.

Kitchen mat slip stop

We had a kitchen mat that we liked, but the backing material eventually degraded and powdered away (made in China). I removed the rest of the degraded backing and coated the back of the mat with left over roof coating material that I had. This has worked very well, but the roof coating backing made the mat a bit "slippy" on the wood floor. I needed something like two-sided tape to non-permanently secure the mat to the floor so that it would not slip if stepped on at an angle. The "non-slip rug gripper" was purchased to solve this problem. So far, it has worked well securing the mat to the wood floor. I tried lifting a corner of the mat to take a picture but the rug gripper stayed stuck to the floor instead of staying with the mat. So it sticks better to wooden floors than it does to coated mat backing. I did follow the directions and put the floor side toward the floor and the rug side toward the rug. I have not tried removing the rug gripper from the floor but I really don't expect I will have a problem if I decide to remove it at a later date. The rug gripper package came with 9 pieces, 2 for each corner and an extra for boo-boos. I used just 1 piece on each corner at a diagonal to the corner (the mat is fairly small) and this seems to work well for the size and stiffness of mat that we have. Very satisfied with the product so far.

Waste of money

The grippers, initially, have great strength. However, after 3 weeks, they were useless and did not stick to the rug or the floor. The smallest amount of dust voids the stickiness and renders them useless.
