Loved it! If you love the previous book Not my Romeo, I think you’ll love this book too. It is charming, hilarious at times, with a good dash of romance and the characters are extremely likeable.

This story centres around Giselle and Devon who we met in the Not my Romeo. Giselle is Elena’s sister and if you read the previous book, you’ll know why I was dubious at first that I would like her as the main romantic lead. I couldn’t be more wrong, though I still think she wasn’t great in book 1, I loved her in this story. She was intelligent, slightly awkward at times, funny and sweet. Devon, who is Jack’s best friend and team mate is a swoon worthy counterpart to Giselle. We meet some lovely new characters to add to the Daisy Gang. However it was lovely to revisit with Topher, Aunt Clara, Elena, Jack, Aiden, Cynthia, Quinn and Romeo the pig again.

This book could be read as a stand-alone, but I think it much better read after Not my Romeo, due to this story taking place after those events and therefore some spoilers. Also I think you’ll appreciate the story and characters more too because you got to know and adore them in Book 1. Hoping to read more about these characters in future books.

I have been waiting for this book since finishing Not My Romeo- I pre ordered it and all!
It takes a bit to ignite my feminist ideals in a romance novel but I love this author and probably judged her to higher standards than your ‘run of the mill’ authors. I loved the premise but felt like she took the easy road of a predictable storyline... Will definitely continue to buy her books though as her novels are among my favourites.

I've been anticipating the release of Not My Match by Ilsa Madden Mills since I first heard about it over six months ago, and now that it's here, I can say this story was worth the wait. This is a beautiful love story about a famous NFL player and a nerdy scientist.
Devon is the best wide receiver in the NFL. On the outside it looks like he's living his best life, but in reality his life is not all glitz and glamour. His mother took off when he was a child, his first love left him heartbroken and his father is an alcoholic who barely remembers anything.
Giselle is a girl-genius who constantly gets bad luck every time she nears her birthday. On the week of her 24th birthday, not only does she not receive the fellowship she's dreamt of since she was 10 years old, but her apartment building suffers a fire, leaving her temporarily homeless.
Her brother-in-law's best friend Devon happens to be around when the fire happens and offers to let her stay in his penthouse until she gets on her feet. Not only that, with her string of bad dates, he anoints himself her matchmaker, vowing to find the right guy for her.
Devon doesn't know what he was thinking when he offered to help Giselle, not only with accommodation but also her love life. He is attracted to her and her brilliant mind, but she's his best friend's sister-in-law, he knows he can't pursue her, but that doesn't stop him from lusting after her.
The more these two spend time together, the more sparks fly. Devon is afraid to let another woman into his heart for fear being abandoned again, but every time he thinks of her with another guy, the caveman in him comes out. Giselle just wants to find Mr Right and as much as she wants Devon, will she stick around when he is so intent on pushing her away?
This was another great story by the talented Ilsa Madden Mills. It amazes me how much work she puts into getting real facts and incorporating them into the story, leaving readers learning something new every time. In this case, relativity and black holes. This was a feel-good romance story that will have you laughing, crying and swooning.

He's her sisters Husbands best friend, she's always had a crush on him, she's just gone through a break up and if it couldn't get worse, she's homeless because of a fire.
Devon to the rescue and now she's his room mate, well until she gets a new place!! Devon and Giselle had me so many times in fits of laughter, lol they had no boundaries, the way they cared for and supported each other blew me away, not to much and yet always enough. Their bed room antics had me crying with tears of laughter and my heart was happy right the way through. Even with their insecurities, they still managed to take a big chunk of my heart.
Oh my, these two were complete opposites yet right from the word go they were also each others yin and yang!! Fun, laughter, red hot emotions, lust and chemistry off the charts !!!
Ilsa Madden Mill has yet again give us yet another sports romance, with both a hero and heroine we can so easily fall in love with. Simply put, pure reading Gold !!!!

I loved Devon and Giselle! They were perfect together.

After a fire breaks out a Giselle's apartment, she is left homeless for all ofn2 seconds when her Knight in shinning armour (Devon) comes to the rescue, she will stay with him but Devon doesn't just want to be roommates and there is also the added problem that Giselle's new brother in law, who also happens to be Devon's teammate and BFF has pretty much warned everyone to not touch her!

Both have hang ups, both have pasts that they would rather forget, both have feelings for each other but for different reasons don't go there. Devon was so protective towards Giselle but she totally new her own mind and put him in his place!

There chemistry was of the charts!

Really hoping Alabama's story is next!

Not My Match was a fantastically enjoyable story. Full of layers and feels, and great characters who I really couldn't get enough off. And with a slow burn romance that really pulled me in and showcased how wonderfully different Giselle and Devon were and how great they were with each other. I was glued to my Kindle.

Furthermore, I really loved the way these characters opened themselves up and grew as the story developed.

And with plenty of southern charm, sweetness, and zing Not My Match truly was worth waiting for; and it's a story I would definitely recommend to others.
