My height is 5'2" and weighs 109lb. I first ordered regular size "4", which I thought a bit tight, but the sleeve is long... Then I found out somehow petite size sleeves are shorter, but appeared everything else being the same as regular. So, I ordered "6P". Then, it didn't look good on me/ was a bit big. The place I felt tight originally was the shoulder/ armpit area. I wore 2-3 layers to see if I can move arms comfortably with the max layers. With "6P" somehow, the armpit tightness was the same, rather it was just made slight bigger. So, I figured that is how this jacket feel like around the arm. But, the tightness was just a little bit and once you get used to it is nothing. It doesn't hinder your movement nor give you uncomfort feeling. So, at last I ordered "4P", and it turned out perfect including the sleeve length.
If I complain one thing, it would be the length of the jacket, which I feels a bit short. But, I guess b/c of that this jacket is cute and stylish looking. I needed a good snowboard jacket, not only for the purpose but also for playground play in the cold NY winter with my kids, which requires a short warm jacket. This will do that. I bought Patagonia's nano puff insulated jacket last year for that purpose. But, unfortunately, it was too thin to go thru NY winter.... I probably can wear 50's with wind, but not even 40's. But, I can wear this jacket in 50's with front open and thin T-shirt, and 10-20's with wind with proper layers.
Hope this review helps others to figure out the size choice + the warmth.
Everyone seems to have a problem with sizing so I thought I'd at least provide some information. I'm 5'1 and about 122 lbs. I got size 6 petite. It's roomy enough to wear a hoodie underneath. I also tried on a size 4 in a store which also fit very nicely but more snugly. I got the bigger size for extra room. Hope this helps.
