Not too bad, just don't expect it to replace an AC unit

First I think it goes without saying as we've seen in other reviews, THIS IS NOT AN AIR CONDITIONER. It will not cool off an entire room. So this review is based on that assumption. If it wasn't, this would warrant no more than one star. It is noisy, but I find not overwhelmingly so. I have AC in my house but only in the living room. My office which is around the corner, is not cooled sufficiently so I bought this for my desk, and also for my bedroom, which is not air-conditioned. The advice of using Ice+water in the tank, and of freezing the filter, is good advice. I find when you first do that it does deliver, if nothing else, a reasonably cool breeze if you're in good proximity to it, which is about all you can expect. I gave it 4 instead of 5 for the noise level, and I think the tank could be bigger. You can also change the color of the lights which is neat. It's very small and portable and any unit that would be a true air conditioner would be three times the price, weigh 5 times as much and 4 times bigger. For the convenience and price, and understanding that this simply will not cool an 85 degree room (even a small one) down to 70 on a really hot day, it's not bad for the price.

I bought 2 of these. One to use in my laundry room which doesn't have AC. It really helps a lot with it being a small room. I'm in Texas and it's hotter than a firecracker right now. This little cooler really makes it bearable. I usually dreaded having to go out there to do my laundry but with this I can actually stay out there for a while and not be sweating bullets. The noise level is a little loud but I found that after a few minutes I had tuned it out and didn't even notice it. I did have to up the volume on the TV some but also got used to it quickly. I think it was worth the price and for me at least it really helps that it is small and lightweight and I can just move it to wherever I need it easily. I'm 71 and in a wheelchair and very heat intolerant so it being so easy for me to move it to where I need it is a godsend. Very easy to use, I throw a few ice cubes in with the water if I want it really cool and that works great. I would definitely recommend it.

I really do not understand why some people want more then is offered. This is a mini Swamp Cooler, not an Air Conditioner.
I’m a Professional Butler and Chauffeur I truly appreciate this product as it lives up to their promise. It is NOT loud, it DOES cool a medium size room off within several minutes. Follow the instructions and turn it on. Simple. My personal apartment is above the principals garage and in the summer it does get a tad bit warm. I recently Purchased (2) of these units. One for my bedroom and the other on a table end beside my couch. I have had no problems with falling nor staying asleep in either room with the devices just a foot or two from my head and I am a very light sleeper due to my profession. The negative reviews on this product appear to be asking more of the product then what it guarantees to produce. This is an personal Air cooler that uses cold water to cool the hot air not a Personal Air Conditioner. Two different things. I’m assuming that the negative reviews stem from the people wanting a personal air conditioner for the price. My unsolicited advice is to read, understand and make your purchase based upon all of the information. I am very happy with the (2) devices so far and my GF has not had a complaint as well. We both sleep very well with the room being cooled and having the air moisture rise in the hot room. A 10+ from me!

The Arctic Air is sitting on a TV table About 8 feet away from where I normally sit. I have so many personal pictures near the Arctic Air location is the reason I didn’t want to put a picture from my sitting location in the public domain. This small arctic air unit it is providing more cool air than a tower fan I have near the same location. The tower fan puts out more air, however the Arctic Air puts out more cool air which is a more important factor for me.
I am very pleased with this Arctic Air cooling fan. The Only semi-negative factor is I wish the fan motor was a little quieter on high speed.

I was skeptical at first hard to believe it could do as it says, I was anxious to try it out after watching a review show on you tube about theese small personal coolers, I learned they are NOT A/C units They are evaporative coolers and work like a swamp cooler,, It definatley does cool you off I often have to turn it off because I get too cold,,but it does not cool off the room much if at all,, it does work great if it's close to you and pointed at you,,,I rated it low like that because of some things it doesn't do as said, like the water chamber/ holder can last all day, not for me it would last a long time but I had to fill it more than one time a day, I did 2 times if on all day,, the other reason I rated it low is because of how loud it is, It is so loud, but luckily I'm not bothered by noise, but I can see alot of people having a issue with how loud it is its a loud swoosh blowing air with mechanical sound,, I don't know if you have heard a cpap machine turned on with out putting it on your face it sounds like that but louder, I Love the nite light and diffrent colors and I like that it has 3 settings, high, medium and low,, I do love this little cooler and have been using it every day since I purchased it,, another thing I read because it's a evaporative cooler you need to have a window open near for the?? to escape? You will have to read up on that I don't understand how some things work but I get what there trying to say, so opening a window obviously isn't going to help keep the room cool, but it will definatley cool you off, also I like how light weight and easy it is to bring with you if your going to family or friends,, and they are not hot like you ( are all the time) or they don't have a/c or a fan,, so it's very convenient and has a very long cord,

I placed it on my computer table and pointed it at me. Keeps me cool and love the breeze even at the lowest fan setting. This does not replace an AC, but if you are just looking to keep one small room cool. Like a bedroom or office. I would say this is a pretty solid choice. The only thing I do not like about this cooler is that it is pretty noisy.

I'm usually skeptical of anything that seems too good to be true, but I needed something to help cool my home office more than what an extra oscillating fan has been able to do. I selected this from Amazon because the return process would have been much easier than going through a regular store, had it not worked.

But I'm happy and surprised to say that so far, it is working VERY well. Yes, it is a bit noisy but it's a small room AC unit with about the footprint as a standard desk fan. You can't have everything people—not for $40! Geez. My home office is no less than 120 sq ft. and gets super heated in the afternoon sun—even with the central air pumping. So far this has really helped keep the room cool.

I do wish it came with a second filter so you could always have a frozen one on hand. So that is something I would recommend if you're going to have to run this longer than 2-4 hours at a time.

If over time I notice issues, I will revise the review, but if not...consider this product a success—or at least enough of a success to warrant spending $40 on.

It’s a forty dollar fan with an ice tray, a light and a filter. It does exactly what it says it does. It cools the air 2 feet in front of it. I read the reviews and was surprised that people were expecting an air conditioner level of cooling from this little thing. It works. It’s a great little fix in a jam. That being said a fan, an led light, and an ice tray can do the same job for cheaper but they won’t look as cool and there will be a wet mess afterwards. This little device is cute and convenient. It will blow cold moist air on you for a couple of hours. If you’re expecting it to chill a room then you’re just not being realistic about your expectations of something like this. In my opinion it was worth every penny.

Does about a good as I thought it would. I freeze the filter, set it on my nightstand next to my bed, and let'r rip! (GOOD LUCK FINDING A REPLACEMENT OR EXTRA FILTER! The link for an extra filter on this page is for the ULTRA model, NOT this PURE model and it does not fit.) Even on high, the breeze isn't super strong but it does ok. I almost returned it because the light, no matter what color setting, is just too much for sleeping. I had read question after question and reviews where people said that you cannot turn off the light. Well, I decided to try something. I pressed and held down the light switch for about 3-5 seconds and the light shut off. YIPPEEEE!!!!!! I need my bedroom to be as dark as possible in order to sleep so I am very glad that I figured this out.
