Comfortable and versatile pants with PERFECT POCKETS. Fabric is not very touch against Spikey Australian flora and have noticed some pilling developing. The waist band is lined to be soft but it’s slower to dry then the rest of the pants. Love everything else though, ankle cinches and double Waist snaps are perfect too
Used these in Ecuador. Boulders did not leave any pulled fibers even after sliding down butt first. The cold wind was barely noticeable. They quickly dried and the dirt fell right off of them as long as you did not rub the dirt while wet. The rain was repelled very nicely and they never got soggy wet. I cant believe how warm they were in 56 degree weather and rain seeing that they are so thin. Everyone else was cold! They fit true to size and very feminine. They looked great and didn't smell after wearing them for two weeks without washing! I will never own another type of hiking pants again. This is my brand and model.
Also, I am curvy and these are the only hiking pants that are not tight in the hip area! Yeah for me! I am 5'7" 157 pounds. Got size 12 which are a little big but the drawstring makes them fit fine. May have done better a size down. You do not need to size up if you are curvy and hippy like me. But I had no time to return for smaller size. They are doable for me.
These pants are fantastic. I usually loathe buying pants in general because I'm petite (5'3") with an athletic build (narrow hips but not a small waist), so I need a regular size 6 from the knees up but petite length. All too often we short former gymnasts and swimmers have to buy regular pants and get them altered or buy petite pants in a size larger so the crotch seam doesn't create, shall we say, an unsightly dividing line in both front and back (and the resulting effect of wearing pants a size larger than usual makes us look like Spongebob Squarepants' twin sister). But these pants fit like a dream. The cuffs are adjustable, so I didn't have to have the pants altered. The fabric is lightweight and comfortable. I needed something to wear on a trans-Atlantic flight that wouldn't bind or restrict movement yet was suitable for sightseeing tours that begin as soon as we arrive in Paris. I highly recommend these pants--and not just for trails and woods.
I have 4 of these pants...great light fabric, great for office, outdoors, and anywhere in between. They are durable, I climb in them, hike in them, and wear well, I wear them to the office. They travel well in the suitcase, they are synthetic so the color has not faded, I get compliments on them...great all-around pants.
Only note, like jeans, they give a little with wear/shrink a little washing, but not significantly. They have a draw dring, which I have never needed. They have cuff string and locker to snug them up high. Overall, great pants. True to size.
I was so excited when I got these pants and they actually fit me. I needed some pants that are lightweight and nice enough to wear to work because my work environment is not air conditioned but I have to wear pants. I also wanted pants that I can pack to travel and wear hiking during the day or out to dinner at night. These pants fit the bill on all fronts. Love them and I plan to buy more. From a size standpoint, I am 5'4" and weigh about 118 lbs. While I am think, I have a "curvy" bottom so alot of pants that are cut for people with a very straight frame don't work for me. If they fit my bottom and thighs, then the waist is too big. I got a size 4 and it fit me pretty well. They are a little fitted on my thighs, but they stretch and are comfortable and are not too tight that it looks bad. The length is perfect for me. The drawstring at the waist is also great to eliminate any gap for those people who need a bigger size for their thighs. Highly recommend these pants.
This is my 4th pair of Ferossi pants. I live in them! Comfortable on and off the trail. Light enough to wear hiking in summer in the Arizona desert, but also keep out the wind during Arizona winters. Shed water wonderfully keeping me dry during a hike in the rain. The 4 way stretch allows these pants to become part of you. Pants fit true to size.
I chose these pants because the reviews were so good. I plan to use them for hiking and for an easy travel pant. Other reviewers said they run a bit short. I an 5'4ish and have a hard time finding pants in my length since short/petite is too short and regular is often too long. These are a greta length - maybe even a tad long for hiking, but will be great for travel pants where I will likely be wearing a variety of short heal heights. Haven't worn them yet, but looking forward to giving them a test hike. The color is nice as well - sort of across between mushroom and greenish Khaki. Think I'm going to like these pants - they look great one - very stylish for an active pant. And yes I would recommend them to a friend.
These are AWESOME. Fit like a glove right out of the box. Stretchy, comfortable and lightweight fabric, feels super breathable, nice mid-low rise (at least in hiking pant terms!). Length was great. I'm just shy of 5'7" about 165 with a slightly longer inseam/leg length than average, slimmer lower-body build (but these have a little extra room in the thighs for me). I just tried about five different pant styles and sizes across several brands including prAna and Colombia, and these are the winners hands down!
