Based off of other reviews, I ordered a size larger. The waist is too big, and the crotch is saggy, but the legs fit fine. I don’t know if my regular size would have been better, however, I didn’t have a pair of bike pants and my crotch was getting bruised by going on bike rides without padding, so I decided to keep so I didn’t have to wait for another delivery. However, when I went for a ride, the inner cushion was exactly what I needed and was pleasantly surprised that the pants didn’t roll or ride down. So, they may be unflattering, but work for intended purpose.
I could not pass up on buying these on sale. I don't usually lean towards Pearl Izumi padded cycling gear because the pads are quite huge. Due to this being a base color of black, it doesn't make your butt look crazy huge; but it does make it look bigger. If you ride and like a lot of padding; then this is for you. I do not normally wear such thick padding for mountain bike riding but overall the fit on these were good and I like the colors. Once when mounting my bike, the bad kind of got stuck on the seat and pulled a bit; due to the pad. Overall I am pretty happy with these and like the capri length.
I really wanted to love these cycling tights. However, they didn't fit. I am 5'7" and 133 lbs with 37" hips. I am between size Small and Medium according to Pearl Izumi's size chart. I ordered a size Small and could barely get them over my hips. I had my 12 year old daughter (4' 10", 85 lbs) try them on and they fit her. I think a size Large would fit me the best.
These are really nice tights, but definitely size up. Two sizes up maybe. I usually take a small or even an extra small (5’4”, 115lbs). I ordered a medium, based on other reviews, and it is still tighter than I would like. I have nothing bad to say about the quality - the material and chamois are both good. I bought the grey which are lovely and a nice change from black.
These have been great for multiple ~15 mile rides. The fit is a little small, but that seems to be the norm for PI's. Normally I'd fit an XL, but I had to bump it up to a 2X. I really love the pattern. It is a nice change from flat black, without getting too flashy.
These are great once you have the right size. Definitely buy 2 sizes bigger than normal. When I put the first pair on I thought how in the world am I supposed to breahe much less ride a bike in these. Now that I have a size that fits they are wonderful. I had absolutely no problem getting them exchanged, it was a quick turn around on my new pair.
I got these on sale and for the very low price I snagged them for, they are definitely worth it. They fit well and the chamois is great. They're very comfortable. However. After cycling 20-30 miles, I looked like I wet my pants. Sweat showed through the gray in an embarrassing manner. 😬
