These pants are amazing! I love them. I live in Tampa FL and the winters here are a bit chilly. I was too cold to cycle all last winter so I decided to invest in some cycling gear in the summer as the prices of winter items in the winter are outrageous. These pants are tight....Most PI items run at least a size smaller than normal clothing. They are a great fit, very warm too. I love the camois, great for longer rides.

The pants are nice and thick, hopefully they can keep some of that cold ocean wind from chilling me to the bone this coming winter and they price I paid was almost 70% less than the PI website!

I love these pants and would certainly recommend them to people....I have thick legs and a round bottom. Not the typical cycling figure...these pants were great on. Even for spanish ladies with big booties, they hugg my slim waist so there is not a huge gap when I bend over. Elite clothing line w PI is fantastic!

Quality and fit not as expected from PI

These tights fit rather strangely! Tight as you know what around the hips, butt and upper thigh in the size medium but very loose, baggy even, at mid thigh down to an awkward dart sewn in at the knees! Very unattractive, the baggy knees-- except when I am actively pedaling [thank God for the small things!]. These also have not worn well in the three or four months that I've been wearing them. I wash them on gentle cycle in the machine and hang flat to dry, however... there is now excessive and unsightly pilling on all of the outside seaming. I'm having to pick off the pilling as I sit here typing, with regard to the inspiration for this belated review. Not happy. I'm in good, athletic shape and like to show it off in my workout wear so would like to stress that I don't have a weird or unusual body type as to the weird fit of these tights!

On the plus side, being that I did pay $135 for these, is that they have been warm in outdoor cycling temps ranging from 50F to the teens. In my humble opinion, I would not pay even a discounted price for these, had I known the down side of these tights.

As I will be riding through my 3rd winter this year and have to leave for work around 7am - I've needed something that I could wear on the cooler 30F degree days, but something that could get me through the notorious desert lows and winds.
I've found these to keep me warm in the low 30's with a cold windshield factor and for the extra cold mornings you can easily wear them as your base layer and stay toasty warm :) I've not had to use the zipper much, but it does make them very easy to put on/take off. The high waste band makes for a nice warm core (nice to tuck your base layer into to cut the wind/draft).
I was a bit reluctant because I wasn't sure if I could wear actual cycling gear. Now that I've gotten to experience the comfort (for both feeling while riding and temperature wise) I'm going to be investing in gear for warm weather cycling too.
I'm about 110 and 5'4", the Sm. fits me very nice. They're a bit long, but that can be nice to tuck into the tongue of your cleats.

The only complaint/meh thing was that I did order and have a receipt for the black with a white band along the calf, but they sent me the sold black one... Wasn't that bigga deal, but I did like the white band.

good fit for me

I'm 5'5" 135 and I have the large... good fit for me. I'm a pear shape with a smaller waist but bigger thighs and calves. Yes, the large is a little long, but I zip them and just roll them up a little. These are the BEST tights... LOVE them. I have a pair in Large and XL for the winter when I gain a little extra. I'm looking to get a backup pair in Large just in case some day Peal decides to discontinue. They hold up really well in the wash. I wash them inside out with my other mountain bike clothes (due to the mud - don't want on my other day clothes). I just line dry them. I like the snug fit and just wear my fox bike shorts over them... great product!

Difficult to get on and a bit long for 5'4", but they do the job that it was intended for. I bought them for cool weather and rain. They keep you warm and keep you from getting soaked while riding. I tested them out on a heavy rainy ride I did.

You won't need to wear a baselayer under these in over 45 degree weather, under that I would recommend a baselayer.
