The gameplay mechanics are definitely what I wished Pokemon was when I was a child, but the graphics are a million years behind and personally I think that's unacceptable for such a rich company in 2022... They can do better. It's so bland and empty. Resolution, textures, models, backgrounds, all so bad.

Fantastic fun fresh outlook of Pokemon, the recent editions of Pokemon and the Diamond/Pearl remakes started to bore me so this game was definitely exciting.

The game can be a little slow at the start but is an excellent adventure and exploration game throughout.

If you like BOTW and Pokemon, you'll love this game.

I always struggled with Pokemon games, trying to take three steps out of a town leading to extremely frequent battles, or being unable to see the Pokemon you actually wanted. This game is a lot more engaging and you get to sneak up on the little dudes and catch them that way sometimes, which is fun. Absolutely recommend.

The new style of this game is much more fluid and entertaining than the old Pokemon games but some aspects like the 2v1 or 3v1 battles can be very punishing but overall I think this is a fun and interesting new take on Pokemon.

Delivery was a shambles though and one of the main reasons we use Amazon. After being shipped out by Amazon our delivery sat with Dragonfly shipping for 3 days of "out for delivery" while they did not get it to us while being only 15km away and ending up back at the warehouse. Not Amazon's fault but the contracted courier.

Received game on release date but came unsealed like others have said and did not get pre order bonus's even though i should.

Otherwise game is a nice fresh take on the pokemon series but at the moment it suffers from graphical/texture problems such as pop ins etc so I am waiting till its patched to play more.
