I received many compliments while wearing this. I attend a ball every year and this shawl made my simple black dress look sophisticated while covering up my arms. Because it clips on, it isn't like a traditional shawl that you have to hold over your shoulders and continue to adjust all night as it slips down. This looked great and stayed in place even while dancing. It had a delightful sparkle due to the sequins and the vertical lines were really lovely. I am so glad I bought this.

This little sequin cape/shawl is gorgeous. I bought it for a vintage themed Halloween costume, but I'm definitely going to find a way to wear it out for a real life special occasion too. It would be perfect for New Years Eve, weddings, a Gatsby inspired look, or any time you need a little sparkle. The grey/silver is very sparkly, but the grey has a vintage tone and is classier than something that's pure bright sequins. Somehow it seems classic and not gawdy. It's better quality than I expected. I am going to go out of my way to find times to work it into my wardrobe. It has a nice flow/drape and is very lightweight and comfortable to wear. It has a single hook and eye clasp that is easy to open and close. It didn't snag my undershirt and stayed in place. I have nothing but good things to say about this. I think it would fit women of all sizes.

As the other reviews noted this is really beautiful in person! I bought the black color and it works perfectly over a black satin dress to add a flapper flair and shoulder coverage for a night out - without being too much 20's costume. But it can also certainly go that way with the right styling too! The hook and eye closure on the one I received is unraveling and I will need to secure it with new thread but it's minor.
