DEXA similar results

I just came home from a DEXA body composition scan. I was happy to see the delivery of the scale and in good packaging. I was amazed at the results from the app. Both my mother and I each downloaded the app and our results from the Renpho scale have us almost identical metrics that we have in our DEXA report. I like that the app also gives other metrics to follow giving you an overall idea about your health. I'm so happy to know it's able to give trends on the app. Instead of paying hundreds for a DEXA scan, go for this scale while is out there! I've previously paid over $200 for a brand name medical scale and it was bulky and no additional features were available without a subscription!

Waste of money. App doesn't work device doesn't pair.

unfortunately just wasted $50 on this instructions say how to paid it. Device doesn't want too. Trouble shooting says to do it a certain way according to the response Device works so you can't log issue with them. Well scales turn on and charging works... but this product is unless for everything else. As it requires the product to Bluetooth and connect to your phone, needs the product to work for that. Even tried just pairing after a hard reset via settings on my phone without app and it still won't connect.

So buy your self a basic digital scale don't waste paying extra for this ones features like I did as it doesn't work.

Easy to use rechargeable smart scale

I had an old bathroom scale that was low on battery so I thought why not upgrade to a smart scale... and I'm so glad I got this! This has been sitting in my bathroom after I unpacked it and charged it once, so the battery lasts a while - the manual says 3-4 months. The app is easy to use and the data syncs to Apple Health.

Now that I have a smart scale, I can just open the app, stand on the scale for a few seconds, and have all these health data collected on my phone - makes tracking my health statistics so much easier!

If you don't yet have a smart scale, this is a great smart scale for dipping your toes into smart health tech.

Awesome scales for the price

We had the FitBit Aria scales which cost us over $200AUD. They broke after about 18 months and we were not willing to spend that money again. After checking out plenty of reviews we decided to get these Renpho scales and it was one of the best decisions we've made in a while - the tl;dr is that these are great quality and great value.

You don't get much in the box - just the scales and a recharging cable. That's right - they're rechargable scales - takes about four hours to charge fully but the manual says you only need to recharge a couple of times a year so it's no biggy. Also they're Bluetooth so you don't get the scales automatically syncing with your preferred health app on their own. To sync with Apple Health or Google's equivalent you have to fire up the Renpho app on your smartphone and then step on the scales. We had no problems connecting to the scales - in fact it did it automatically on both our iPhones with no intervention from us at all. You can tell when the app's ready to sync the data back because it shows marching ants around the central weight display. Once it's connected, you step on, it weighs you and then pings the data straight back to the app. We've found the scales to be accurate.

The other data the scales show such as body fat, body water and muscle mass are all great indicators of general health and it's awesome to have this data pinging back automatically into the Apple Health app. It will also sync the data to your FitBit account if you want.

So I give these scales a big thumbs up. They're solid value and they work brilliantly with no messing about. If you've been looking at the overpriced big name scales like Nokia and Fitbit, you might want to save yourself a decent amount of cash and give these Smar Bluetooth scales a go instead.

It is easy to use. The app supports Apple Health App and this is my reason to buy. The app traces my target weight and the history. You need to run the app before standing on the scale.

Its charing port is micro 5 pin so it doesn't follow the recent trend. My major cables and ports are currently type C, and it is a little bit annoying me. But I like that I don't need to change any AA or AAA batteries
and simply charge the internal battery. Besides that, I have no problem to use it. Its top surface is glassy so I love it, too.

Nach langer Zeit wollte ich mir mal wieder eine Personenwaage zulegen, da ich nun doch gerne mal etwas auf mein Gewicht achten möchte.

Vorne weg, ich bin ein Sportmuffel und die Zusatzfunktionen sind „nice to have“. Der Wert für den BMI kann man sich einfach selbst nachrechnen, dieser stimmt schonmal.

Was die anderen Angaben betrifft, ob diese nun aufs Prozent genau sind oder nicht war für mich letztlich nicht relevant. Es ist nett eine grobe Schätzung zu erhalten um evtl. sein Sportprogramm anzupassen.

Zur Waage selbst:

Es hätte sicher auch eine einfache Waage ohne App und Bluetooth getan. Jedoch ist der Preisunterschied so minimal, dass ich es einfach mal auf einen Versuch ankommen ließ. Geliefert wurde die Waage heute und die ersten Tests waren super. Bei der Verwendung unter iOS hat sich die Waage beim öffnen der App automatisch verbunden und direkt alle Werte ausgespuckt. Nach den Standortdaten wurde ich nicht gefragt und diese werden auch nicht abgerufen.

Die App ist intuitiv und einfach gehalten und es können unbegrenzt Benutzer angelegt werden. Einziges kleines Manko, die App verlangt eine Registrierung mit seiner E-Mail Adresse. Hier kann aber getrickst werden... Einfach eine E-Mail Adresse ausdenken, Passwort wählen und schon gehts los ;-)

Weiterer Vorteil, die Waage besitzt einen integrierten Akku und kann über das mitgelieferte USB Kabel aufgeladen werden. Ebenso kann sie auch ohne App als reine Waage verwendet werden.

Die am häufigsten gestellte Frage war ob die Waage Messungen speichert. Ja das tut sie!

Sobald man die App öffnet, wird die letzte Messung automatisch hinzugefügt. Was ich allerdings noch nicht herausgefunden haben, wie man die letzte Messung einen anderen Benutzer zuordnen kann. Hierzu gelang es mir zweimal, dass sich ein Fenster geöffnet hat und ich den Benutzer wählen konnte.

Ist ein nettes Feature wobei ich denke, wenn mehrere Personen diese Waage nutzen, wird mit Sicherheit jeder die App auf seinem Smartphone haben. Somit sollte dies kein Problem darstellen. Ansonsten können auch Messungen gelöscht werden.

Als letztes muss noch erwähnt werden, dass die RENPHO App hervorragend mit der Apple Health App kommuniziert. Die Messungen und Ergebnisse werden direkt weitergeleitet und dargestellt.

Alles in allem super und hat von mir 5 Sterne verdient.

Wenn euch meine Rezession gefallen hat, würde ich mich sehr über eine „hilfreich“ freuen.

How can I get excited about scales!

I already had some scales which I love however, they don’t have Bluetooth connectivity and they don’t sync with my apps. So was this worth buying?
The answer is yes. I love these scales much more than my current ones. The first positive is that it’s chargeable, sure it’s still USB Mini which I hate now that every other thing I have is USBc but I can forgive that as it’s better than batteries and especially coin batteries which my current one uses.
The second is the speed at which it delivers information. Within seconds I have all the data pinged to the app without need of having to wait for it to cycle through and me writing them down manually.
The third is that it pairs with apps. Okay not all apps, it wont pair with my Garmin which is a little sad as they stuck with Fitbit. It will however, copy information to Apple Health.

The app itself is brilliant, I’m not sure why it gets some bad feedback in the App Store. I have had no issues with it. You can post your targets and you can see daily, monthly and yearly update graphs to see your progress.

Anyone looking for that extra motivation through scales will get that here. I can’t recommend them enough.

Is it accurate though?
That’s the big question and not one I can easily answer. With wight, sure it seems to match any other scales I step on. But Body Fat%? Well its very different to my current ones and I would expect that to be right as I always felt that my current ones were selling me a fairy tale. That said what you want from any scales is consistency. And as long as it gives you that (and this one does) than you have a baseline to work off.
