DEXA similar results

I just came home from a DEXA body composition scan. I was happy to see the delivery of the scale and in good packaging. I was amazed at the results from the app. Both my mother and I each downloaded the app and our results from the Renpho scale have us almost identical metrics that we have in our DEXA report. I like that the app also gives other metrics to follow giving you an overall idea about your health. I'm so happy to know it's able to give trends on the app. Instead of paying hundreds for a DEXA scan, go for this scale while is out there! I've previously paid over $200 for a brand name medical scale and it was bulky and no additional features were available without a subscription!

Waste of money. App doesn't work device doesn't pair.

unfortunately just wasted $50 on this instructions say how to paid it. Device doesn't want too. Trouble shooting says to do it a certain way according to the response Device works so you can't log issue with them. Well scales turn on and charging works... but this product is unless for everything else. As it requires the product to Bluetooth and connect to your phone, needs the product to work for that. Even tried just pairing after a hard reset via settings on my phone without app and it still won't connect.

So buy your self a basic digital scale don't waste paying extra for this ones features like I did as it doesn't work.

What can I say? it's only been one day but I'm liking it. I purchased this product because my expensive scale gave up the ghost after just 3 years of life. The bad thing is that their customer rep didn't even know how to fix the problem only told me to buy their newer scales for the inflated price of over $150!!!
The package arrived earlier than expected. Instructions were clear and easy to understand. No need to purchase extra batteries, just make sure to charge this beast up and off you go.
Also gives you the ability to sync with other fitness apps unlike specific scales from other more expensive brands who does the exact same thing for 5 X the price.
Might buy another one for other members of my family. I know it's early but so far I'm extremely happy with the purchase.

Nice scale, good info provided to app, not sure how accurate some of it is but weight seems to be fairly consistant. 3 members of family now using it. Was very easy to link to app and do not have to instantly download data to phone as you can come back later and trasnfer the data to phone, it seems to know who used the scale by the weight, I think it links the weight to the person as long as it's within 5kg, so if you have 2 people who weight within 5kg of each other it may download the wrong persons data, if you do have 2 people within 5kg of each other you get around it by having totally seperate prime user accounts and then each person just downloads after they use the scale.

Overall very happy, only took about 2 hours to fully charge. Makes a diet a bit more interesting as you can see improvements in all sorts of settings rather than just focus on weight.

I don’t shy away from spending more money to get a quality product. I looked at getting the Garmin scale because hubby, myself, and our oldest all have Garmin watches. But almost $300 was a lot when I didn’t know if it would even be worth it.

Long story short, I’m super happy I went with the cheaper option! I read a lot of positive reviews about this scale, and now I’m writing my own.

Positives:
💥 It tells me all the data I really need
💥 tracks it all for me
💥 integrates into my apple Heath which talks to my Noom app
💥 I’m super glad I got the rechargeable one to not be adding more batteries to landfill.
💥 also tracks the data for my hubby and kids in an easy to use app.

Negatives:
💥 Only stores 20 readings before it starts deleting, so if you have a family, make sure they’re syncing regularly.
💥 Doesn’t talk to my Garmin app. Not a deal breaker but a bit annoying since I have most everything in there.
💥 Doesn’t do complete measurements for youth - likely due to the age - but I find that kind of arbitrary. If it’s accurate for adults why wouldn’t it be for kids?
💥 Documentation/quick start guide wasn’t quite as good as I think it should have been. It missed some important things that would have been helpful before that I found out later by going through the faq.

And one other thing to note that I’m not sure if it’s common across all Bluetooth scales is that it wasn’t clear that best practice is to have ONE ACCOUNT with multiple users. If you have multiple accounts, the syncing doesn’t play nice unless you always have your phone with you. It’s fine for our family but not likely ideal if it’s a shared scale with roommates or something.

I read the good and the bad reviews before purchasing. Both on the app and the product. I was weighing in at 160kg, and was hesitant about how it would take my weight. Not an issue. The app is easy to use and download, along with using the product. I've lost weight and have found this product to be great. I compared it to my PT's scales (it is a scan one as well) there is a small variance, which is to be expected as these aren't all exact. The small variance was about 0.3kg and about 1 or 2% on average with percentages. I have recommended this to others because of the price and ability. Definitely worth it. The app is fine and I didn't have an issue. Just make sure you have your device close by to the scales, as leaving it in a different room does make it a touch hard. Other than that, it a good preduct.

Was looking at the Withings/Nokia scales originally, 180 bucks which I was prepared to pay but my wife wasn't. Read some reviews and watched some YouTube vids on these and for the price they are awesome. Delivered in 2 days, pairing took a while but quickly found out how fat I am and the app works well and I believe in the June update of software, Samsung health was added which is great. Some of the algorithms may not be to everyone's taste but you are not buying a dexa machine for 33 bucks so use them for what they are. Haven't checked yet but my wife is too scared to use them in case I find out her weight so need to make sure more than one account can be used on the same set of scales, however if not cheap to buy her a set too. Enjoy 😃

Had some issue setting up as it won't pair with my smart phone, a reset resolved the issue (thanks to YouTube!)
Also the registration part doesn't work if you use VPN (make sure it's turned off)

Trying to figure out if this works for more than 1 person, i.e. a separate profile for each would be fantastic!

Surprisingly really great for such a cheap scale. I’m not sure about the accuracy of the other measurements beside weight and BMI but the app is super handy and you can track and share metrics with a different people using the same scale. If you do that, make sure you don’t record a measurement for someone else!

Wifi stops the app working

Couldn't create a profile so set myself up as a guest, couldn't delete entries either so I emailed Renpho. Customer service top notch as they replied quickly. Problem appears to be the app doesn't function correctly on wifi. Or not on android and not on my Virgin wifi using a mesh. Also the results using a logged profile were significantly different than using a guest profile with the same parameters - BF by 11%, base metabolic rate by almost 300 calories....which makes no sense as I was the same weight and still a 49 yo female at 5' 5". So turn off your wifi and create a proper profile and it's not too bad. Oh and the display on the scale only shows lbs (and kgs assume) not st lbs and it doesn't flash the BF as my previous scale did.
UPDATE I sent these points to Renpho just as feedback and not asking for a reply. But to the second point I am apparently an idiot and did not enter my profile the same in guest mode as proper profile mode and that is why my results are different.....even though I am quite sure of my age height dob and sex and even though I uninstalled and reinstalled 3 times trying to get the app to work on wifi so put in my details 3 times in guest mode then and got the same outputs. They only changed when I had a registered profile!!! Oh and if you happen to select athlete mode just for fun you can knock even more off your bf :-)
