The Highlands Hoody features non-mulesed merino wool blended with nylon and linen for lightweight performance. Its excellent warmth to weight ratio combined with natural odor resistance makes this an on-the-go essential for an airplane, early morning hikes or a night out. The high-low hem offers flattering coverage in the back and the hood will keep you cozy (and provide a little barrier to your airplane pillow!).

It worked out very well because the shoulders are not fitted so it does not look sloppy. The arms are long, but if you fold up the ribbed cuff the length is perfect. (In fact I prefer to wear sweaters with the cuff turned back.) The one way zipper goes all the way to the top of the ribbed turtleneck.
The soapstone is basically like a weathered oatmeal color and is quite neutral. The knit material was not at all itchy on my skin and I can see wearing this versatile attractive sweater in a number of seasons.
The attached tag states:
30% merino wool
Machine wash cold
Wash garment inside out
Wash colors separately
Flat to dry
Do not bleach
Cool iron if needed
Do not dry clean
Mention was made of "mulesed wool." I didn't know what it meant so I looked it up. Rather than go into grisly details, the good news is Royal Robbins is stating the wool used in this sweater was taken from merino lambs that did not have the barbaric mulesing inflicted on them.
The tag states: "We use NON-MULESED WOOL to promote ethical treatment of sheep." Thank you Royal Robbins.
