If you want something for scrubbing counters or even really drying hands this may not be ideal. Definitely thin and not very absorbent. But it's very pretty with excellent quality of the design and pattern and such. Hangs nicely and looks lovely. Really great decorative piece or to hang under one you are actually going to use. I only wanted it for looks so I am quite happy.
