I liked the idea of getting more counter space by putting a rack over the sink but I'd give this maybe a year before it breaks. the welds are tack welds and the basket hooks only on the back frame as the picture looked as though the frame goes all away around the baskets, the metal is thin and not very sturdy, a few pots on this rack and it's going to start bending. i think I'll gift this to my uncle, he always gives me his old harbor freight stuff and I have a good idea now how i want to build and weld up my own
Dimensions are incorrect, item too long. I have a double sink and the dish rack does not fit in sink but does fit over the sink. So with some cutting and modifying the rack, it is a perfect fit. Good thing the metal is sturdy & high quality stainless steel. Final product looks attractive. Also, in sink allows me to pile up the dishes in the rack with little rubber feet sitting on the bottom of the sink.
Smaller capacity than I expected. Extended handles are flimsy and almost useless. Not sturdy. quality is so so, appears cheap. Not worth the price. Not even as good as my previous old cheap 10 bucks dish dry rack I bought from local supermarket. Not recommended.
Smaller than I thought it would be. I bought it with a plastic tray to go under it and it slides a lot. The expandable ends do work well for putting it in your sink but that does not really work for me. I have no dishwasher so I have more than just a few dishes at a time. Probably good for 1 or 2 person family. Not terrible quality just not great for me.
I've had this for awhile. It's too big to sit down in my sink. I only have to adjust the bar about 2" for it to hang above my sink. It seems sturdy and it did work but I didn't like how shollow it is. I'm a stacker and let the dishes air dry. The pots fall off often as kids (8,7&4yrs) ran through the kitchen. I don't think it will be any better on the counter with a full meals worth of dishes.
Very nice but the silverware basket needs improvement. Silverware slides sideways between the bars and gets stuck. Also would have been nice to be a little larger. The wedges that hold the plates/bowls does NOT accommodate bowls at all as they are too narrow.
Overall this is a nice unit but I have a granite countertop and the rubber bumper did not go around the edge of the rack so the metal rested directly on the granite. Over time I feel this would cause scratching. I was able to cut the rubber piece in half and make protection for the corners so I didn’t have to return it, but I feel it should have come with the rubber protective piece all the way across the end and enough to go around the corners.
Overall, the product is decent for the price. It has adjustable ends to fit most sinks. The black rubber on the extensions is think and removable. I'm not sure that I like that part just yet. Feels kinda cheap, but then again, it was only $20 and it's metal. Works for a homeowner on a budget.
Easy to clean but was much smaller than I expected. Section for plates is better suited for salad or dessert sizes. Western type plates too large for fit. Quality looks good but not sure as to it being rustproof.
