Brush bristles are poor quality. Column is not made for African American baby hair. Tangles the hair and breaks the hair. Space between bristles could be wider on one end of the column. Not a good recommend to buy for black babies hair.

As other's have mentioned, the company must have changed their design. I ordered this because many of the earlier reviews mentioned how the brush is very soft. However, the actual brush I received is different than the one pictured and is not soft at all. It's actually a bit harder than the one we had previously. Works ok, but if you are getting this based on earlier reviews, keep in mind the product has changed.

The brush is ok and the comb is just a comb

I bought this because my daughter likes when I brush her hair after baths but the bristles are too closely put together and the bristles are a bit firmer than she is used too. Too bad my dog ate the old brush. I'll have to try and find a better solution. some items you need to just test out for yourself and get what works. this just happend to be a not so good purchase.

I bought this for my twin boys when we finally lost the one the hospital gave us and honestly was disappointed. This brush is for a newborn, and does not work well for older children. Especially kids with a decent amount of hair. The brush and comb are very small and does not work for what we need so I had to buy another one. Bummer, but not the end of the world.

I don't like the bristles on this brush. Somehow it's like it brushes "over" the hair and doesn't catch the hair underneath (and at only a few months old, we don't even have that much hair to start with!)

I'm not sure the one we got even has a grip, let alone colors. From other reviews, it sounds like you may or may not get what you see. For us, we were one of the unlucky ones.

The set works fine, but IMHO probably wasn't worth the $5+ considering the quality.
