I bought this scale cause I thought it was the same scale at my doctor's office...it isn't. They call it a "professional" mechanical scale,..I don't know what profession, but it's not the medical profession. This scale is light and not really high quality,..but I will keep it anyway.

This scale appears to be fairly high quality. However, after weighing every member of our family, it seemed that the scale may be about 10 pounds too high. I'm normally 200 and the scale showed 210. My father is usually 170 and it showed 180. My wife is usually around 115 and it showed 125. You get the idea. If you are looking for an accurate scale, you may want to look elsewhere.

This scale has a quite large, readable dial. As well, the mechanical action on the scale means that you are not having to replace batteries. I had 2 digital scales before this item. They worked well for 12 to 18 months or so, and then developed display and function errors. It's time to try the older tech. solution to see if it's any better. So far, so good. I like this scale .For me, it doesn't matter how accurate it is, but that the results are repeatable...Accuracy within limits is nice, too.

This scale simply did not work. I followed the instructions to no avail. I had ordered it on 28 May 2020, received it on 19 June, and filed an electronic claim for a replacement on 22 June. I never did receive acknowledgement of my e-mail claim and to date I have not received a replacement. I am disappointed in this product and in the handling of my order. I hope this can be addressed soon.

According to my doctors office, the weight was off about 3# but knowing that, it’s easy to allow for that. My personal preference would be slightly bigger numbers for easier reading for seniors’ eyes. Nice solid scale.
