I do running and aerobics, which requires lots of fast movements, jumping etc. I did a 60 min or so workout and the bra felt confortable, can't remember struggling with it or finding it inappropriate. However when I took it off, I had 6 marks, three on each strap's side, where the bra has these little rubbery/plastic thingies (dunno what to call them)incorporated into the straps. 3 days later the bruising is still there, looking a bit like a funny tattoo... It's not a strap adjusting problem, because the strap was at just the right size. It's about those bumpy thingies that just press against your skin. I might be an exception though, as I've failed to find similar comments.
I bought this for running. I am cup size D-C. The hold is good , better than any other sports bra I have tried. But too much pressure on collar bone. The back join, where the straps are bought together is too high up. It hurts just below neck and collar bone because of the pressure. The hook is removable but then the chest hold is lost. I have used it twice. Can't return it so will keep it.
Normally I'm a 32/34 band and this sports bra in a 34E barely closed over on the back. It was so tight that the second clasp higher up on the back wouldn't close either. Luckily enough I had a bra extender spare (never usually use them!) and the bra fit fine at both clasps with this on. Other Shock Absorber sports bras with a 34 band were fine for me and oddly enough, another "Run" bra with a 36 band was too big in the shop! So if you're getting this maybe just try your normal size and get a bra extender then if necessary. The bra itself though is very enclosed and supportive without squashing you too much.
I've been buying Shock Absorber bras for many years and also measured myself before ordering but it is still too tight around the band. I've donated my bra to my teenage daughter. I also ordered one for her and again hers is too tight. Thankfully it will fit her younger sister! Still a good buy at the current price so I've ordered another for myself but have gone up a band size.
I usually bought one type of Shock Absorbers only (the ones that come in purple and coral) and I thought I'd change style. These bras seemed to be the best in the market so I bought one.
But they felt a bit uncomfortable... tighter than the usual (I bought the same size I always do). And the padding didn't feel as much as before. I wanted the ones with a nicer thicker padding. Hence I bought the Shock Absorber Womens Padded Pump Sports Bra Black N4246 38B instead.
I got rid of this bra. I really didn't like it. Sorry.
After reading all the postive reviews. I bought this bra in a 34dd which was too tight round the waistband and fine in cup.I had to return it and get a 36dd which is fine round the waistband but a bit loose in the cup area! I would advise to first try this bra out in a department store before buying it online, as your sizing can be totally different.
The bra itself doesn't really prevent as much bounce as I hoped . It is made of very durable material, so it will last you a very long time.
It is pretty much impossible to put this bra on by yourself without almost dislocating your arm in the process. It is definitely a two man job! If you don't have someone to hand to do the top catch up above your shoulders then it just aint happening. To be fair, once both catch's are clipped into place, your jubblies aren't going anywhere so in that respect, it is an incredibly sturdy boulder holder! (Especially if you go running).
I only wear this brand sports bra. It is excellent, and I know my size (it runs small so order a band size up). I bought from this seller thinking the bra was black as all the pictures showed one colour - black. I received a white bra, which is frustrating.
I actually went in the manufacturers website and checked the measurement guidelines and this was 5 cm out!!! All my bras are nod have been size 34 to include the same make in different style. They fit!!! But this was so o small, with so many similar comments ( which I failed to read in advance) you would think that someone would take note. On a positive note its a great looking well made sports bra hence the 3 stars!!!!!
