The bra just about fits and works well as a sports bra. Don't be tempted to buy a size smaller (which I did due to limited availability and previous advice from friends about "buying a size smaller to help the efficiency of the sports bra" leading my to believe I could get away with it) as it is very tight to the point of constricting my rib cage. It is a very comfortable bra, though not as comfortable as I'd like as it is too tight. I would absolutely buy again, but in my actual size as opposed to the size i ordered this occasion.
This is one of the best sports bras I have ever owned. With a large chest it and small back I have struggled to get the right support to use when running. This is ideal although slightly small than I expected in the cup therefore only giving 4 stars today. Washes well and holds firm even when sprinting.
Having read the reviews, I decided to purchase this running bra. I can't believe how poor my previous sports bras are next to this one. The big brand one's are terrible, even the so called high impact bras and I will never waste another penny on one again!
I wear a 36B bra size but brought the 36D and was so glad because the fit is perfect.(big thanks to other reviewers for sizing tips) I did have to practice doing the extra clasp a couple of times but I've got the hang of it now. It's worth the stretch to do it up because the support is fabulous.
This sports bra is fantastic, comfortable, and I will definitely be purchasing many more. I can now run faster due to the outstanding booby support. I've realised that a substandard sports bra will hold you back from improving your performance. No joke!
Great running bra - I've always used the plain old shock absorber bra before which was fine but gave you strange shaped boobs - this is fab. Doesn't flatten your boobs or make them a funny shape and keeps them in place nicely. I'm normally a 34G in everyday bras but took the advice of others on here and went up a back size and down a cup size and ordered 36F and it fits perfectly - I hate having anything too tight around my ribs when I'm running any distance - makes me feel like I can't breathe so this works a treat. I've not tried it out on a longer run yet but has been fine so far. My advice for the strange top fastener is to do that up before you put the bra on and slip it over your head....I have no idea how anyone can do it up otherwise....and I'm quite bendy - but it was impossible!! Apart from that I'd say this a tip-top bra and a good purchase for the larger boobed ladies!
I usually buy the Shock Absorber Active D+ bra in a 30E but they seem to be discontinuing it. I got this one in the same size and the band is TINY. For comparison I compared it to a new Active D+ bra, same brand, same label size, except there is at least a 2inch difference in the band. I can't return as I'm still self-isolating and don't want to go to the post office. I just assumed I'd be safe sticking with the same size in the same brand. Apparently not. If you buy this bra go up at least one back size and adjust the cup size accordingly.
Loved this as my first shock absorber bra ( over a year ago) and I thought was quite a good bargain - it does the job - not much moving around in the chest area when jumping around or running. However I went to M&S and found that their normal price was just about £20 with a more supportive bra(underwired sports bra). Overall a great sports bra but found a better suit and prize for me recently.
- over a year later - I would get this again if there was an underwired version and prized similar.
Pros of this - Easier to put on than my M&S ones Cons - Non wired, A few pounds dearer
Material looks good but can't comment on anything else because it is tiny! It's no where close to the right size. I wouldn't trust a brand that can't even measure 30" correctly! A 30F came up about a 24D
Excellent quality. The middle wrap in the back doesn’t have to be fastened if you don’t want to use the “fastback”. The material is smooth and comfortable. I used this hiking the Camino de Santiago and it was excellent: very breathable, comfortable and snug. The front straps which go under the arms can be a little uncomfortable beneath backpack straps at first but I’ll put this down to general hiking tenderness.
