5.0 out of 5 stars Does not hurt shoulders and gives proper support!

Love it! Will not be buying any other sports from now on as this is the one!
My regular bra size is 10-12F or 32-34F but I bought 34D. It fits just right and didn’t not hurt my shoulder/neck area like other brands. It’s a hot day and yet I don’t feel suffocated because the fabric is just great.
Perfect for high intensity workouts!
Hoping it lasts longer than the other brands as well!

5.0 out of 5 stars Effective bounce reduction, very comfortable when on.

Great fit (a tiny bit tight around chest but cup size is accurate), and very effective in reducing bounce when jogging. Love these colours too. I find it tricky to do up the top back part but will probably get used to it.

1.0 out of 5 stars 32C not True to sizing...waaay too small.

Size: 32CColour: Black/SilverVerified Purchase
I don't usually write reviews, but regarding this product in terms of sizing, the item sizing seems totally off the mark! Ordered 32C and I would say sizing was more like a 28B! Way way too small! The band does not even fit across the chest, impossible for clasp to meet. The cup size is way too small and narrow. My boobs were literally squished in all over the place and spilling out at the sides and top. Not enough fabric to protect and cup the whole breadth of the breast. Not comfortable or fit for purpose. I have always used 'shock absorbers' for running and they have always been be brilliant. Support in the right places, good contact, comfortable no bounce and pain free especially near monthly cycle where Betty Boo feels a little on the sore and tender side. Description advises order your regular normal size which I did and it's fair to say 'shock absorber' sizing is way off the mark. Very disappointed. I usually buy bras from M&S, JL and my usual 32c no matter where I buy have always fit. I hope the images supplied will help with your decision about purchasing this product. I did read reviews before purchasing and positive seemed to out weigh the negatives. Maybe, I got a faulty garment that slipped through quality control? It was promptly returned!

5.0 out of 5 stars Tiny but excellent if you go up a band size, down a cup size.

This is fantastic. I bought my last shock absorber bra 20 years ago in the days of the Anna kournicova ads and it lasted all that time. Admittedly, some of those years it stayed in the draw. But it lasted really well. This bra is great. I bought my usual size initially and returned it for one size up on band, one size down on cup, I.e. the cup size is accurate but the band is tiny. 70% say fits as expected? I think it depends on whether you are wearing a bra size you fitted yourself and like a loose band in which case buy that size - it will be tight tho - or whether you have gone to John Lewis and they have given you the right size already - in which case definitely buy a bigger band size. Really comfortable to run in and I can just about breathe in the bigger size. Another thing to mention is that I am really tall and it fits. You need to adjust the length of the bra on the back of it. And there is no bouncing anywhere 🤣

1.0 out of 5 stars Terrible

1.) Sizing is way off. As you can see, it is barely across my back. I ordered the correct size for me, 34 DD. I double checked my own measurements initially in case I'd changed sizes (I hadn't), and then I measured the product itself. The band is just under 25inches, with next to no stretch. This is roughly 4 inches wider than my 2 year olds chest, and would actually be one of the smallest UK band sizes.
2.) Even if it had fit, there's several issues with the cups themselves. They're far too large. While pregnant, I had to wear an F cup. I would say the cups on this sports bra were a similar size to the cups on my maternity bra. The centre 'V' thats supposed to sit snug to your chest (note, I am a runner, hence why I even bought this product) is nothing more than a sewn on decorative line, meaning that this isn't actually a shock absorbing sports bra as it doesn't sit against your chest. If you were to run using this, I expect it wouldn't support your movement at all, and for a chesty women like me I 100% need that support.

All in all, I've had significantly cheaper sports bras that offer far better support than this one. And for beginners looking for start up equipment, I can imagine that having the sizing be this far off could be really demoralising.

5.0 out of 5 stars Für mich der Beste unter den Sport-BHs
Reviewed in Germany on 17 January 2018
Verified Purchase

3.0 out of 5 stars Shock Absorber is a very good brand however this style is very small.

I have many 34B Shock Absorber bras and I went for a 32B as thats what was in stock at this price. I have one already in this smaller size in a different style which is very tight but good for running. This one wouldn't even pull down over my boobs so I feel this style comes up small. I am now paying the return postage which is not great. The bra itself is a great style but I have found an 'imitation' for half the price which is, I would say nearly as good.

2.0 out of 5 stars Comfortable but not as effective as I’d hoped
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 24 December 2020

I took up running during the pandemic and managed to buy a sports bra from the same makers (a multisports model) on the last day the shops were open before lockdown. I am very happy with that one but recently saw that there are models specifically designed for running, so thought I had better get one of those. This one was mentioned in one of those “Top 10” type lists on the internet. It fits well, I can just about reach the behind the back fastening mechanism, the rubberised padding on the straps work well and it’s very comfortable to wear. However, having worn it on a 10K jog I did not think it stopped chest movement as well as the multisport model does. I think it is less compressive. I’m keeping it as back-up but will buy another multisport one from the same makers. Based on a follow up question, it is very difficult to close the plastic clasp and I have reduced the stars further from 3 to 2. It is very well made in many respects but for me it’s the Active Multisports Support model from the same makers every time.

3.0 out of 5 stars Don't underestimate how very difficult this is to put on
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 5 September 2020
Verified Purchase
I've seen many reviews noting that this bra is difficult to put on. And also a few reviews scoffing at people who haven't mastered the art of putting it on. And it IS an art. I've managed it once, but the rest of the time my husband has to do it.

I bought this after receiving a selection of similar bras on the very useful 'Amazon Wardrobe' scheme and choosing this one for comfort. I do wish it had a slightly lower 'neckline' at the front as it tends to show with most things. However it's more attractive than many sports bras. It shows through under anything white, especially the contraption of straps at the back.

I'd recommend it for comfort but if you have any sort of limited mobility or don't have someone handy to assist don't underestimate how tricky it is. Maybe my rather generous bosoms make my mobility more limited, they do tend to get in the way of things (which is why I'm buying a bra that costs this much).
