A collection of six very short stories written by various authors as entries into a writing competition. The only link to Stephen King is that he judged the competition and these are said to be his selection of winning stories recommended for publication. It's always difficult for writers of short stories to build the necessary tension and atmosphere into their work - especially when they're writing horror. Creating scary isn't easy and I'm afraid these stories aren't scary and they're also quite lightweight. Some of the ideas are good and I didn't find any of the stories unreadable but they need more depth and more work to bring the central ideas to fruition. Not bad but not great. When I ordered the book it was free to download. Wouldn't have been quite to happy if I'd paid for the download.

Decided to read the book firstly because it was introduced by Stephen King and secondly because it fitted into my reading challenge - read a book of short stories. Well the stories were weird and just kept ending without much closure. Would have been better off with A Bazaar of Bad Dreams by Stephen King not six scary stories introduced by him.
